If everyone who flocks to these threads did that, coming to this forum might actually be a worthwhile experience again.
This is very tinfoil-hat-y, but at this point it feels like Yoshi-P has so much on his own plate with all the projects shoved onto his lap by Square that he did not get to actually play Dawntrail. Remember when he played through Endwalker a couple times to make sure its perfect? No one can tell me he did the same thing here.It seems lately yoship hasn't been his usual self since the release of dawntrail with recently being dismissive of feedback of the story and writing quality saying people "just don't understand Japanese writing styles" or claiming people don't like wuk lamat because of "parent complex" or something or not being confidant enough.
I would pay money for a twitch stream in which a dev actually plays a healer character, from level 1 to level 100, through MSQ and all battle content. I want to see the color drain from their face as they realize the state healers are in.

Based on the recent interviews I lost the little hope I had left of the post patch story potentially getting better especially if writing quality remains the same and keep a toxic voice actress around. He's defending his paycheck, pretty sure that is what is going on. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he knows what the pecking order in the office and he saw certain consultants walking through with management telling him what the deal is. Be quiet and take the money.
That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.

That could possibly be the reason as well and why he could be so dismissive of feedback recently if he potentially put all responsibilities onto junior people but still taking blame of everything even if all his attention isn't on ff14 anymore and taking on multiple other projects. This is very tinfoil-hat-y, but at this point it feels like Yoshi-P has so much on his own plate with all the projects shoved onto his lap by Square that he did not get to actually play Dawntrail. I think it's great that Yoshi-P is taking the high road to defend someone who, turns around attacking others on a social platform and calling out music scores as black gospel and racist.![]()

As long as he doesn't consider "criticizing Bryer's bad performance" and "pointing out some of Bryer's bad takes on Twitter" to be an "attack", I'm cool with that.

I think the story is on because story is not why l play this game, lol. I getting a feeling people who liked the story are people like meFrom the article:
"While Dawntrail is a largely beloved expansion,"
Is it?? Is it really a largely beloved expansion? Even Yoshi has said it's been received with "Mixed reviews". The writer clearly has not done their research.
Edited to add once I finished reading the article:
Fully agree with the rest however, personal attacks are not OK. Critiquing the story, gameplay, graphics updates etc. is fair and honestly helpful if we want things to get better. Just be kind and don't direct hate/threats etc. towards anyone personally is what he's saying. Shouldn't really even have had to be said.
I mean they shouldn't, he is right.
But really there are remarks made by a certain individual that really make it difficult for people not to bite.
Fire all the americans, each and every single one of them is a drama magnet.
The english localization is just hilariously bad compared to french and german.
