As well At nophica the least rewarding leve i've seen solo with the appropriate difficulty and GA I never get less than 5k sp. levin shower solo you can get 8-12k sp in less than 30minutes.

With the new sp system and stats being changed on how its distributed there is now way you less then 1700 sp for 4 leve's. No offence but this seems very troll like . . . . . Most leve's I can do even solo and get at least a full level from with GA. Right now the amount of SP handed out is very much easy mode, and I'm sorry to say but you are playing the game wrong or on to easy of a difficulty level.
First off my numbers are completely accurate, and the data was taken the same day as my post 3/29/2011.

When I saw how bad skill points and exp points I was getting i went to my characters lodestone page to see what I started at and compare it to what I was currently at. And started logging my experiences to make this post. So the devs can hear my story and maybe fix it. I got a lot of those find the white light leves which did not yield much SP and made me run all over the map trying to find them. Luck of the draw I suppose. If you say you never get less then 5k I can tell you now that is false seeing as I only got 1695 on 4 of them.

When you say appropriate level I thinking you are meaning higher then 1 star correct? That just isn't possible when imps which check as blue which should be easy prey hit you for 80% of your HP. 2 stars is pretty impossible solo, due to the incoming damage. I even took the advice of fellow in game players and got cure, sacrifice (regen), and second wind to help out as you can see I actually took time to level a few other classes. Even with the ability to heal myself its not really possible to do more then 1 star the amount of incoming damage is too much to heal and if i heal myself all the time the mob will not die since its not being damaged.

I have no reason to lie about what happened. I just want the game improved. It still is very lacking since I had the experience I had that day.

To get a sense of other mmos and leveling and progression rates rates take this for example:
In FFXI which I played today actually I can go from level 75 to 90 in about 4 hours when leveling various jobs. Killed several NMs in abyssea for Empyrean weapons only took a couple hours downed 10 nms got 15/50 items I needed to finish the sword I am working on.

When the FFXI and FFXIV servers were down I played my WoW account, had to play something right, my paladin on WoW is already capped and geared out so started a new character a hunter soloed took her from 1 to 85 the cap in a week all solo with quests, and geared her our for starter raids in 2 days, was doing end game raids after that.

The amount of exp you get solo in FFXIV is way worse then FFXI ever was. When FFXI came out I got to level 30 solo without a problem. Started grouping in the kazham area at that point but it was fairly easy to find groups. Was the 2nd NA player on my server to hit level 75. So I do no a thing or two about leveling fast. It is not easy find groups at all in FFXIV like it as in FFXI. Past accomplishments in games do relate to new games in that it shows a greater understanding of the MMO genre.

We even had videos for FFXI to show off the stuff we were killing before anyone else could http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NzoD6SdE9A

Well after checking out your character I do see some deficiencies in stats and skills. Here is what i propose if you want to be able to do devlit leve's solo and much more easilly. I did the one you did at nanawa last night Corpus Adamance. I will first recommend you use the next few leve resets and saved GA for leveling ur thaum and conj to 20 for the heals. you're short on the ability to cure yourself so when impish incantations hits you do not have enough cure to regen urself to a safe health level.

I am currently levelling 3 classes to 30 and my pug is also 28 almost 29. I know what happened and I will walk the leve through with you to ensure you can get maxiumum sp out of it. Corpus Adamance solo with GA at your rank 2 star is easily doable I did it last night and I have zero HQ gear just a more available skill set then you.

When you launch this leve have just protect in your bar with Sacrifice 2 and Cure 2 set that will allow for fast heals when needed after impish incantations. Also to enhance your dmg I would level Arch to 10 for raging strike as well I see your shield skill is rank 20+ take Shield bash and Aegis Boon and add that to your bar and 1 or 2 good weapon skills. that should have you with all the tools you need to beat this leve from a skill and stat side.

Now onto maximizing your exp and SP from this leve. At 2 star you can easily do this with what I proposed above and in no time beat it. Now when you start the leve make sure to attack the wisps first that way you can get the brightash they drop. Then once you have the brightash use it on the ladybugs to detect if they are ladybugs or devlits if not a devlit then attack it and kill it. If the devlit pops then run away from it until it disengages you and then leave that one devlit for last and kill all the other leve mobs and then the devlit last. This will ensure maximum sp for the leve.

I do strongly urge you to level both conj and thm to 20 first and archer to 10 take the few skills you need and you won't have a single problem. That leve alone should net 3-5k sp if done properly.
If after that you still have problems I would asses how you play the game.

also check out my character on the lodestone Speeral Olbodra you can see I have all the base classes to about 20 and a few over. This has been instrumental in helping me have higher stats and more skills/tools available to me as I level.

Zumi, this is a good guideline for you, also I want to add to this is get as much guild mark rewards for your conjurer so you can have the abilities such as Fastcast (which allows you to heal quickly, i think its a 20% increase in casting). If you want to really be uber in soloing, I suggest that you rank up THM as well to 20 so you can buy the ability Firm Conviction (can be bought with THM guild marks, rank up Pugilist to 20 and buy the ability Prime Conditioning (Increases healing effects on you by 10% - can be bought with PUG guild marks).

Please note that these abilities can be used in any DOWS jobs.

Sure it will take you sometime but its all worth it, this is pretty much how my leveling style is.

In FFXIV world, the more you have access on many abilities, the uber you are especially when soloing. Im currently working on my Archer, which is currently rank 25, but since I have alot of access to many abilities, I am able to combine them. My DD ability is beyond my expectations when I solo. I still use warped arrows but my DD output with raging strike+ferocity (Lancer)+multishot is amazing. In addition to that I use Protect(Conjurer)+Stygian Spikes(THM)+Sacrifice 2(THM)+Cure 2(Conjurer)+Defender(Pugilist) so I never have to run out of MP and I can survive longer on IT mobs.

This is the main feature that I love about FFXIV -- the horizontal leveling, it allows the players to be more creative in terms of mixing up the abilities from all the jobs to pimp out their toon's performance. Unlike in FFXI where the subjob abilities are capped.

Not to rain on your parade, but FFXI was extremely difficult to level prior to the whining and complaining. Next not to be rude but FF is not for everyone. The games are meant to be hard and you are supposed to feel something when you accomplish something. I don't feel that now. May I suggest you find a good LS to join to get you the EXP/SP you require.

In truth I am tired of the weekend warriors whining saying the game is to hard. They added MP regen which was crazy. They upped the SP you receive to a ridiculous amount. For example a LS member took almost since the start of the game to right before they upped the SP to reach level 50. After they upped the SP that same LS member got 2 jobs to level 50 within 5 weeks. So either they just play non-stop or you are not playing the game enough and exploring enough to find what works for SP and what does not. Furthermore the LS member I am talking about did this mostly soloing.

It seems to me that everyone wants this to be easy so they can reach 50 in 2 days like WoW.....I don't want that. Right now you are not even paying for the game are you suggesting that you would pay for the game if you got all your jobs to 50 before you even have to start paying. This game is way too easy in my book and I am tired of the dev giving into all the weekend warriors whining.

    Hell yes.

I want it to take 2 years from release for me to get to the level cap that SE decides will be the level cap for the normal duration of the game. I don't want an easy game. I left FFXI when it got easy. I love the length of time that it takes to get to 50 right now, because, lets say, the cap becomes 75? It'll take at least two-three times as long to get the rest of the way. I want to feel good and proud when I get there. I want to some incentive to become awesome at my jobs. Which to me means, "I spent countless hours getting to this level.. I'm putting my heart into this job."

    Stop whining.

Excuse me but the lack of an MP regen without running back to camp was crazy. This game was supposed to be casual friendly not hard core. And what's with all the casual hate anyways? 5 weeks to max 2 jobs doesn't sound unfair; just because the SP gains were too slow to begin with doesn't mean you should go after people for asking they be adjusted.

This is why I hate leveling systems. People complain when it takes too long, people complain with someone else does it too fast. Just start us at max level and endgame already and cut out the junk.

Because it was impossible to run out of MP if you had 20 THM as ANY job, this includes DOW. MP management was already non-existant, they just completely deleted it with this unneeded auto-mp regen change.

Also, since when does "casual" mean "easier than being afk?" because at the moment, being afk takes more skill than doing anything in this game pretty much.

Xatsh is right, this whole "END GAME 2 WEEKS OR GTFO!" western mentality needs to die in a fire, and never come back. I'm sick of it. It took MONTHS, years, forever, to reach 75 in FFXI. But it was fun the entire time, you still had missions, AF, genkei's, etc to do while leveling up. It wasn't boring at all, and it felt like you actually accomplished something by leveling.

1-50 wasn't very difficult and didn't have many missions in FF11, so here's hoping that 51-75 will be like FFXI's, tons of AF, tons of missions, genkei's, etc. The battle system revamp better also make fighting more difficult/skill based(why is the skill ceiling AND cap below the ground? its so low that it's insane, I've never seen such an easy game and I've played WOW for 5+ years) teamwork based, and they edit monsters to actually be challenging to fight. Current monster difficulty is that of some ABC 123 toddler game.

The fact that no one can tell the difference between a bad or good player is a good indication that this games current battle system takes very little(zero?) skill and mobs are far too weak.

Maybe we should take back the game from the whining "weekend warriors". My suggestion to those that think this game is too hard may I suggest you go back to playing WoW. IMHO this game is not even close to hard enough. I said it before and I will say it again FF is not for everyone.
