Ok, that makes sense. I thought you were talking about even getting queue's to pop and not the quality of players. Quality being low is a side effect of Dynamis not being able to develop it's own pvp population for so long so it's a bunch of new people primarily. Ranked CC saw the side effects of it from Season 5 and onward where new players essentially got crushed by smurfs from other data centers so it's been a running joke how Dynamis is the hardest DC to rank up on just because the level of carry for the lower ranks is drastically higher than other DC's. You go from having to win with the newest pvp players on NA, to finally reaching plat, and every match you're in is Crystal-Top 30's from other data centers filling out the entire team. PvP discords would've helped alleviate the sprout population a bit but Revival essentially abandoned Dynamis early on even for Ranked CC to the point several Dynamis only discords had to be made, only being able to sync queue's for Ranked pretty much on the weekends only for the majority of the season (casual queue was dead 24/7 unless a pvp discord hosted an event for fun to help sprouts practice) and the bigger maps such as frontlines were queue sync only for like one day a week if that. Regular PvP tournaments and practice scrims hosted by A/P/C all happened to be scheduled on the weekend which also trashed how often Dynamis pvp events happened in general. Anyone that didn't hop over to A/P/C has very little pvp experience and the pvp resources to help new players even inside of the discords are very, to be blunt, kindergarden/elementary level basic stuff as well as guides on youtube. You'd need someone that has been playing on the main data centers or someone who got mentor'd individually to have a good pvp player on dynamis.

Yep. That's what happened to a few good people I knew in CC even. They wanted to stay on Dynamis because they had their dream house even but because they ended up having to sit on Crystal 24/7 because they couldn't do the smallest possible scale casual or ranked pvp queue consistently, they had to wait for 6+ months for Balmung to open up and then left. We had some good players on Dynamis, but they left during Endwalker. Got their Top 30/Rank 1 and then dipped out. Likely another reason they didn't want to wait another 3 years before doing something about Aether draining the other 3 data centers because it has a lot of hidden consequences that people don't think about or feel unless they're in those communities.

So now I've grown to hate doing group content on Dynamis and want to DC travel again, but whoops, the current restrictions means I'm still in semi-lockdown. The conclusion I've reached is that Square-Enix wants me to pay-transfer to Aether, Primal, or Crystal, but due to the current congestion, I'm not sure which (if any) of their worlds I'd be allowed to move to so I can finally get out of this low-pop hellhole.
I'm on Crystal but was thinking of doing the free home world transfer to Dynamis for housing. But I've read past horror stories of constantly having to DC travel to do roulettes, MSQ duties etc. Also losing access to FC exp buffs and retainers while traveling seems like a big negative since crafting is my main gilmaker.

So I'd been wondering if these DC travel restrictions improved DF wait times on Dynamis? Your post makes it seem so, but what do you mean by miserable DF experiences? I don't PVP much aside from FL roulette and some CC to cap tomes if I'm running out of time before weekly reset.

A lot of things in MMOs rely on getting to where other players are at the same time as many other players, to make a "massive" multiplayer online game, and the new system really makes that a problem. So its certainly an odd change to make and I hope they remove these restrictions soon.

I also hope that they also continue to improve the world visit system for worlds on your DC, as its currently easier and faster to visit another DC (so long as it isnt locked under the new system, that is) at only 1-2 minutes travel time, but it can take over 5 minutes during times like a hunt train forming for you to travel between worlds on the same DC.

Depends on what you're queue'ing specifically. If you're doing Dawntrail trials and dungeons, roulette's, you're fine. If you want ShB/EW trial/raid/alliance content however, most of that is going to be relegated to PF use besides a few exceptions. FL roulette I don't know, but CC does pop now after the changes last I heard 1-2 weeks ago. I can check again today if you want a confirmation on CC queues.
