[Feedback] Data Center Travel Changes

Another reminder that I sure would love DC travel to open back up! The launch congestion is gone, there's really no need for this anymore. Am I really going to have to wait until 7.1 sometime in November to see any changes? Any word at all on why they did this and seriously hurt cross DC raiders and the RP community during a time in the lifecycle of the game where doing Savage raids or going to player run events are the only things to do besides daily roulettes?

The fact this is gaining 0 traction anymore just shows as per usual how weak minded this community is, always looking down and tolerating anything this company does.

They broke statics, they broke friendships, they basically closed down venues on Aether because people cant go there anymore and smaller venues are basically dead, but no one cares, people just take it and dont complain.

Dont expect those restrictions to go away anytime soon if ever, they are going for the long run with this whole "wow the game is so packed guys we need to close that dc so the servers dont overload !!!"

While in reality, when you dig a little, we are already back to pre-DT levels population wise, and weirdly enough everything was fine back then...

For steam users only, May 2024 had ~~22k players, march had ~~20k
DT brought in 42k players total, an increase of ~~20k
As of today, we are back to ~~22k.

And yes, before people tell me "it's only steam", it's called statistics, you dont need the entire game population to make statistics. Steam is a good sample.

Hopefully SE will stop pretending that the game is booming soon, the people that joined for DT have pretty much already left and we are back to the numbers right before DT, stop pretending SE, and open the DC's again, stop with this congestion nonsense, servers arent congested and nor are DC's congested. Balmung out of ANY WORLD which was 24 7 congested before this patch (how weird !) is now open for transfers, and barely has any congestion at all or needs barely any time to reach, stop the hypocrisy.

Fully agree, but as I said in my last post, this community really accepts and tolerates anything from this company, while any other game community would have an uproar about it.

Really says a lot as well as to why this game isnt evolving at all towards anything, it's just the same stale recipe over and over and over again.

Nearly October and it's still difficult to DC travel? There's no way servers are so congested at 10 to 3 AM that I can't travel or go to the world I want. This is just removing DC travel. DT is dead
Don't add a feature and then basically take it away but make it appear it's there

Just make a universal PF. Do better.

I can understand why data center restrictions are in place to favor people native to the home world, to help keep queues down. I get that. I even respect it. It's definitely annoying in some cases, but I get what they're trying to do.

But *World* restrictions is really frustrating. Especially if you're trying to play the game with friends, hang out with their FC, etc but you couldn't do so on their server because it was congested. Now granted, this can happen on a DC level too, but I feel World movement is way more common, and locking it down can get really annoying, really fast.

Made my forum account just to agree that this change was awful and not even remotely thought out.

This change has been a net negative for sure I don't dare transfer to other worlds because I don't want to be caught unable to return to my home world for whatever reason, so I've just been playing less overall... and it sucks being unable to attend art parties and the like because they're on a different DC.
