Eureka released in patch 4.25 of stormblood (which was just under a year after stormblood had come out), this was after the game had already had the first and second raid tiers come out, as well as two new trials and a new alliance raid. and two MSQ patches worth of story. It was perfectly playable but the grind got slowly nerfed periodically as the expansion went on. It had a lot of mixed reception because it was a massive time sink and was rather complicated and difficult, but it was about 4 zones worth of content by the end of the expansion + a large scale alliance raid.

Dawntrails version of this is expected to release around 7.2 or 7.3, which will be sometime next year. I do agree I wish there was a little bit more content spread around to do, which Endwalker and to an extent Shadowbringers somewhat lacked and im hopeful dawntrail will fix those problems. But as someone with about 14,000 hours in this game I can say that there is plenty to do (Even on expac launch) for the casual player, sometimes you just have to look around to find things. If anything, the social aspect of this game has functionally infinite content if thats up your alley.
