Yeah, like it or not, ever since they went for the brits, the VAing was always okay to great, and there was never any real drama. And then the milisecond they go back to americans, this happens.

I'm American and hate how true this is, but when I think about it, it's not surprising. I pretty much don't consoom any American media anymore.

I think it would be neat if SE never hired americans again, you would think they would have learned their lesson after ARR.

I think the better solution would be to have some sort of clause in the VA's contract that stipulates they don't post opinions related to the game on the likes of Twitter (which is utter dogwater anyway in my opinion).

The localizers(vandalizers) are also americans.
They would still strike constantly because they believe they deserve the same pay as hollywood actors despite only having 1/100 of their talent.

I'd say we should just replace them with AI, but then who would censor the producer when he says something problematic? I'd hate to hear 男の娘 translated! Imagine the horror of the pixies not using gender neutral pronouns!

Remember how ProZD made it so people can only voice characters of their color, and now he pretty much mainly just gets called in for Asian roles and he's pissed about that? American VAs, often Californians, are horrible people. I think Tara Strong was caught abusing a cab driver on video for I think was something political and then she got racist? and now people don't like Jews and she's crying. There's Sean Schemmel stopping Peter Kelami from going to Kameha Con, probably to stay as the only Goku VA. Don't forget the Jelloapocalypse drama with changing lines, so making it better, for the anime Lovely Complex. Eden Rigel attacked Atlas for having a character in Catherine for having an option to not go through with a sex change or something. There's so much more too, the American VAs are always so toxic, bloodthirsty, and addicted to social media.

If you've been around for a while, you KNOW that the American Voice Actors and the industry often have horrible people like these. It's best to stay away from the American VA industry, because they always do stupid stunts.

It's a small, nepotistic industry that's hard to break into (One of the few things I'd agree with Sena on), so I'm sure that the people who do "make it" have an unwarranted sense of self importance. Sis, you voice a cartoon boy with fairy godparents, you're not that important.

The problem was it was used at unfitting times and sounded like disney music because of how unfitting the situations were.

I just felt like its treating adults like children with Disney-esque vibes; which lines up with how overly childish the main story felt.

This is a bit unrelated but I feel like I specifically remember bad things with NA voice acting when it comes to gaming. What immediately popped into my head was the various difficulties with the GTA protag VA's. Regarding ff, it sucks because everyone having a British accent personally makes it less immersive for me, so I just swap to Japanese. But hey, at least they're not faking any accents, right?
