Implementing easier difficulties for dungeons ABSOLUTELY should have bearing on roulettes. You SHOULD NOT be able to enter dungeons on roulettes that you are incapable of clearing at their intended difficulty. Roulettes ARE NOT for the person queueing up in roulettes. Roulettes are for the people queueing naturally for older content. If I were a new player queueing for Aurum Vale and I had a level 100 player in my roulette that was incapable of clearing the first boss, I'd be pissed. (Aurum Vale is harder than DT stuff, btw.)

My personal opinion and experience: Aurum Vale is mismatched for its level and thus is a royal pain in the arse. I am not sure it's harder than DT stuff, however. Again, my opinion and experience only.

I imagine you started relatively recently? It's been nerfed several times. There's a reason why back in 2.0, when leveling, we would spam the first room of Dzemael Darkhold until 50. No one wanted to touch Aurum Vale whatsoever, so after clearing it once, you ignored it. Meanwhile, pulling everything in Dzemael up to the first door, killing, then leaving and re-entering was crazy fast EXP at the time. I haven't run Aurum Vale since the last round of nerfs, but before those, it was already substantially easier than pre-ShB Aurum Vale, and yet it was still a total toss-up whether or not you would actually go beyond the first boss in a roulette. The only DT instance that I've been in that was in danger of lockout was M3, and that's mainly due to healers dying before Brutal Impact, which requires healers to be up.

Every room of Aurum Vale during 2.0 was hell on earth. Every patrol had to be pulled to perfection and if you accidentally pulled another enemy that could scalate in pulling half the room and dying. If that was not enough, the dungeon was full of poison hazards in walls and floor that would randomly explode killing non-tank jobs. Then he bosses had mechanics that would oneshot people (not now after 1000 nerfs) and let's speak about the MOLBOLS in a tiny room. Nothing in DT compares to the horror of 2.0 Aurum.

Basically this. If you had 2 stacks of gold bile, you were taking about 900 damage per tick poison. You only had about 3000 HP altogether, with tanks closer to 5000. Then for the final boss, if you had 2 stacks of barbs and took a 3rd, even as a tank, you were going to be 1shot by the 3rd barb dealing almost 10k damage. The cyclops was the easiest part of the whole dungeon, by far, with 0 ground telegraphs for any attack. 10 tonz swipe: conal with no ground telegraph. 100 tonz swing, point-blank AOE that would 1shot everyone but tanks with no ground telegraph. Glower: VERY LARGE line AoE, no telegraphs, and then there was a C shaped AoE that I don't remember the name of. The whole dungeon was pain.... far worse than anything we have gotten since, honestly.... Oh yeah... don't forget TP was a thing back then, so your WAR would run out of TP by spamming overwhelm, and then lose hate because he can't do anything. WAR also only had like 300 MP and could only cast Flash like 3 times per minute tops. (Overwhelm and Flash were the only 2 AoE hate holding abilities at the time.) Aurum Vale was also the only dungeon that Eos and Selene couldn't solo heal... and SCH helping could barely get the job done most of the time.
