Because people cannot behave, and violate forum rules by devolving into incessant name-calling. That's not the same as harassment.

Breaking forum rules is harassment, if you didn't know, now you know; specially those specific things you stated as to why. You basically tripped over your own tongue if you thought that was a good comeback.

Breaking a forum rule is not harassment. People break forum rules such as not revealing personal information about themselves and that's a broken rule for their own protection.

Maybe I just have a thicker skin that I don't cry harassment if someone calls me "wierd" - but I take that term very seriously. Pettiness on gaming forums and people not being able to discuss a topic without name-calling is just childish to me, but doesn't rise to the level of harassment - especially if the recipient doesn't feel harassed themselves and chooses to continue to engage.
