Wuk Lamat VOICE ACTING APPRECIATION

The english VA is simply not good enough, has no voice or acting range. My example of top tier VA would be Masako Nosawa, the voice of Goku:

Here you can hear her do 3 distinct voices and even compare it to her natural voice, not only that, she is voicing Goku in a dialect, which is why Goku speech pattern sounds different to his sons Goten and Gohan, this is to give Goku an air of being a country boy unlike his sons which went to school at the city.

No, seriously. South American here, as I've mentioned multiple times. The accent put on for Wuk is literally the equivalent of someone voicing a chinese character and then drawing out the Rs every time - think South Park's City Wok manager, but not played for laughs. It's REALLY racist.

Not to mention, any notions of racism is the perception of weirdos on the net that look for something like racism in a video game. Partialy it comes from the situation that the Forum seems to be one of the only places were Negativity towards the game doesnt get drowned out by other peopel so it gatheres here.
But currently its extreme especialy about such a simple thing.

I've literally never cared about these things, but Wuk's voice is so bad and infact indeed, /racist/, by using the generic intonations witH T, H and R that nobody actually uses when speaking native spanish or portuguese. It ain't terminally online. It's a fact. You're either not actually from SA, or a bit delusional my dude. Combo that with the only food being tacos and all represented cultures being monocultures with no variation, and - again, you're either not actually from South America and just trying to do a funny gotcha, or you're delusional.

it's an inauthentic forced accent. i know it's acting, and acting is playing pretend, but he could have at least done a good job when trying to replicate that sort of dialect.

Correct...ish. Ancestry, not naturalized. And it's not not a Puerto Rican accent. It's an attempt at a weird amalgamation of of Brazillian and I want to say Chilean accent that forms a hilariously racist and extremely fake accent.

While I think Wuk Lamat was fine overall and definitely had some really good ENG VA moments (Living Memory, some of her more comical lines), there are definitely other moments where there is missing emotion. However, it seems to also affect more then just Wuk and her ENG VA, for example Yshtola and Krile in some moments.

Whatever studio was used for DT that's different than previously used needs a quality assessment overview done of both production and directorship cause there are noticeable issues that I refuse to believe Yoshi-P and crew just outright missed in their playthroughs. Y'shtola on the bridge post Origenics was noticed by every single person I've spoken about it with for example.

from what i heard yshtola's va is pregnant and probably opted for some kind of home studio thing, that and she just sounds like she's reading lines
