It's... not something I like to talk about. I am a small 5'5" man and I can tell you i was perceived as "weak" for a long time because it happened. I've moved past it for the most part, but certain things do make me highly uncomfortable because of it. I do everything I can to make sure I don't treat anyone unfairly because of what happened to me.

I mean, jokes aside it’s an unfortunate truth that there’s always some bad people within any community, whether it’s LGBTQ+ straight trans whatever. And it’s genuinely sad that these people can bring down perceptions of these communities by not respecting the boundaries of others. Not to mention many places don’t have adequate or easily accessed support for men who go through this sort of thing.

But in my experience nobody in the LGBTQ+ community is trying to defend of justify the actions of such people. Being open and comfortable with who you are is one thing, but naturally that doesn’t have to come at the expense of other’s happiness, regardless of sexuality

Telling me I'll never "be an ally" is hardly the insult you think it is when it's very clear that I never wanted to be a part of your bullshit war in the first place. You talk about crying victim, but it's all you've done for the past few posts. Oppression this, harassment that, "Oh it's bad you got harassed, but now you know how women feel." It's all the LGBT community ever do, it's all they've done in this thread. "WE'RE SO OPPRESSED" we hear you scream, as legions of people pop in to dogpile anyone who dares to disagree or just ask you to shut up for 5 minutes. FFXIV is a VERY inclusive game, and its players really like to live their lives loud. You can't actually sit there and tell me or anyone that it's an actively oppressive space for the LGBT community when all you have to do is open your eyes and look around at the sheer amount of LGBT tags, LGBT FCs, LGBT statics and public LGBT acceptance in everything from FC recruitment messages, to public chats and Novice Networks. You are not being oppressed in FFXIV, so stop acting like it. If anything, LGBT Ideology has an active hegemony over the game and that's why you've all been so willing to throw your hats into the ring and make dubious arguments about how the franchise has always been for the LGBT community since its inception. You've even made examples yourself about how the developers have made allowances for things like same-sex marriage... So again, where the hell is your oppression?

On the flipside, you have people who don't much care for the ideology or what sexuality you are because games are *supposed* to be a form of escapism. Or do you think I should be playing as a generic white guy instead of a cute catgirl? Do we all need to be represented in video games in fictional settings, features non-human races? Should we all just stay in our lane and carry all of our baggage into these games and lay it all on other people whether they ask for it or not? The real thing I don't understand is why the hell it matters so much what your sexuality is and why you need to share that with other players. That's honestly my main gripe with LGBT in this game. Stands to reason that if you don't have to reveal the information that will (allegedly) have you become oppressed, then why does it matter so much to share it in the first place?
