No, people just fear losing friends, family, livelihoods and gaming accounts for criticising anything pro-LGBT, and fear getting harassed and doxxed by terminally-online left-wing activists. No that's the paradox of tolerance
Not everyone has rights sadly, both on the internet and IRL.
Call me when people will fear of losing friends and family ,get kicked out from their house or fear getting harassed while going outside and holding hands for being straight.
oh and when LGBTQ+ people will make threads complaining because there's a white or a straight character in a media.
Sounds like a made up scenario right?
To be fair, I have seen a lot of “yuck more straight white males!” in gaming conversations. You can find these comments every time a game is released with what some call “generic” leads on the cover. No that's the paradox of tolerance

You want harassment? How about IRL when I worked as a cashier, had a gay man who wouldn't take "No" for an answer, and stalked me for 3 weeks. He got my phone number found out where I lived and followed me home, it got to the point I had to file a restraining order. I just wanted to live without being harassed by a gay man, but I got absolutely LAMBASTED as a "bigot and a homophobe" for DARING to speak out. So now what do I do when I have a gay man in game that starts spamming me with the Dote emote, then starts sending me tells? One who when I ask them please not to, I get lambasted as a "phobe" again? There is a grand total of 3 people on my blacklist, and he is one of them. I certainly don't get any fucking empathy. No, because then we end up like your last comment using terms without their meaning and you can't apply them to actual discussions since you don't actually understand them.
People have to "advertise every static as inclusive" because LGBT people in gaming often get harassed just for existing just like in real life. The fact that you can't even grasp this concept makes you look sheltered and lacking in empathy.
There's no "both sides" or "playing the devil's advocate" bullshit, because one of your so called "sides" just want to live without people harassing them.
Players who actually "don't care" wouldn't spend their energy crying on a internet forum about a made up scenario in their head.
The fact you and others don't get the concept that there are plenty of bad people in the LGBTQ++ as well makes you look sheltered and lacking empathy. Though no, I don't get a choice. I don't get a choice to have a damn good reason to be scared or a little bit freaked out when I have an LGBTQ++ player run up to me and start doing lewd things to my character. Even more so if they decide that me saying "please don't" isn't a reason to stop. Why? Oh simple, many know that it's just so easy to slap me with a "phobe", "bigot", or whatever else they want in order scare me into complying. Doesn't matter I have a legitimate reason, which granted is rare to have a legitimate reason, to be a little bit upset that ONCE AGAIN I am being forced to deal with it. The fact LGBTQ++ exist doesn't bother me, the fact quite a few want me to treat them differently does. I just want to treat them like anyone else, BUT NO, I have to treat them special because THEY ARE DIFFERENT, WHICH THE MUST LET ME KNOW RIGHT FROM THE GET GO. Nevermind that it brings up a particularly terrifying moment in my life. I don't mind if someone is LGBTQ++, (hell one of my brothers is gay), but please for the love of the Twelve, don't sit there and pretend like it's "just living without being harassed". They want recognition for being different, that it's not the recognition they want means i'm automatically a POS.
It's not made up, it exist in my country.Call me when people will fear of losing friends and family ,get kicked out from their house or fear getting harassed while going outside and holding hands for being straight.

There is even some people that win trial about removing my country flag in the icon of a company because "it's racist".
I agree, sadly there are tons of malevolent people hide under the banner of LGBTQ+ because they know they can gain instant gratification with clout and support which give them free pass to justify their behavior
This is giving Smithers at the strip club energy and I am here for it.You want harassment? You know, accusing all people who slightly disagree with you of being against '' LGBTQ+ people just existing and deserving rights'' is not only a wild claim to have and is one of the reason why some people keep complaining about ''Wokeness''. You complain about being oppressed, yet shamelessly point everyone and label them as a bigot. Like if you want people to be aware of your ''fight'' maybe don't copy the people you claim are oppressing you. Be a better person than them.
It's... not something I like to talk about. I am a small 5'5" man and I can tell you i was perceived as "weak" for a long time because it happened. I've moved past it for the most part, but certain things do make me highly uncomfortable because of it. I do everything I can to make sure I don't treat anyone unfairly because of what happened to me.
No one in their right mind would have called you homophobic for being a victim of stalking and i am sorry that happened to you.You want harassment? Yeah being LGBTQ+ doesn't make someone unable to be a bad person, no one is saying that, the key difference is being discriminated because of being LGBTQ+
now you know what women have to face everyday with some straight men.
if you think LGBTQ+ want "recognition for being different" it's clear you never experienced actual discrimination irl, or you never had to interact with people while hiding part of something you can't change for fear of getting hurt.
i'm not gonna bother to reply to the person saying straight people lose family members when they get accused of being homophobic because it's so silly i can't deal with terminally online people.
exactly ,as for many other things, LGBTQ+ people are people and can be bad, but not because they are LGBTQ+. I don't think it's that hard to grasp so i can't tell if people in this thread are being dishonest or just don't think.
