Heaven forbid they add variance or give other people a chance to see themselves represented. Hell, it is just boring to see the same types of protagonists over and over. I'd rather they experiment than bow to people who call them "woke".

Yeah I enjoy the raids, but I dont think doing them about 4 times a week is worth 10 bucks a month lol.

If you stop playing the game for two weeks, you will no longer be able to log onto the forums. Even if you're subbed but stop playing within that time frame for one reason or another you will be unable to log on.

I think by "western wokeness" it means consistent poor writing on black and LGBTQ characters that ruined movies and games, especially on existing IPs

DEI and all that jazz is a scapegoat for racists to push up their ideas. The problem is always women, it's always people of color. It did not become worse because people value gender and skin color more than "talent" and "experience". It was the same 12 years ago, 15 years ago, 20 years ago. It's just that marketing-wise, what was well seen to prop up 15 years ago were "White Male Dude in their Thirties, a 3-day beard and a mood". Now marketing realized that having more diversity makes product sell more. They can even, in all their despicable cynicism, market on "first X in this series" and try to create an event. It's still marketing cynicism. Meanwhile, game devs and creators have always tried to make diverse games, it's not new. It's maybe a bit easier nowadays.

It's the same as before. Don't give the time of day to grifters trying to tell you it's the fault of "DEI", or SJW, or any trendy word to hide racism and misogyny. DEI is not ruining your games, poor dev conditions are, always, always will be.

EDIT : As for OP, if you've played FF for the last 37 years as you claim, and you're complaining about "wokeness" now, I'd suggest a good visit to the ophtalmologist, because in design and story, FF has always leaned into "wokeness".

Thanks for voicing your opinion OP, though you'll mostly get negative backlash here. You're only allowed to have an opinion that doesn't "offend" them. They're allowed to shove it in your face though, whether you like it or not. Check people's search comments and Adventure plates. You'll see that a lot of folks JUST HAVE TO LET YOU KNOW they are gay, lesbian, trans, ect. They just NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU KNOW, so you can treat them special like they DEMAND. I wonder how people would react if I made sure everyone knew I was Heterosexual. Just made sure they knew it right off the rip. Oh wait, that's right. "Why would you say that? Who cares?"
