It might not be as difficult for the WF raiders to clear, but damn, are the fights fun
Not all Legend title users are bad. Some of us are just dumb.
And this is why I feel WF raiders are an outlier, not the role model. I would say that goes for Ultimate raiders as well. Once a group have cleared DSR, there is no way you can make a savage fight a challenge without tunning it to the level that would alienated the majority of players.
I cleared M2S and in my experience, this is probably the most challenging one so far for PF, not in term of mechanic but in term of perfection. In the past, the gear check don't really kick in until you get to the third fight. I.e to clear Phoenix/Tree in week1 or week2, you're allowed to make two mistake top to clear the enrage. On the other hand, the first two floors tend to allow you to pick up body off the floor and still clear. Even P10S which was considered the hardest second floor up till now were still fairly generous with screw up as long as it doesn't lead to an instant wipe.
But my experience in the last 2 day with M2S is it has the performance check that normally would only be seen in third floor, have more than a couple mess up and it's game over for an average PF party. But it's also a lot of fun.
tl;dr: WF's clear time is a bad metric to judge savage fights.
You do realize that healers back in Gordias still subscribed to the off-heal/main-heal mentality? None of them were healing optimally."Yes and no. The fight, when done the intended way, was indisputably gear gated. The sac strat had not actually been attempted until the week of the world first clear, and quite possibly not until after the world first clear had happened. So at the time, the fight was indeed gear gated. It's just that strategies arose that completely removed that gear gate due to not needing to carry Nisi, thus nullifying the HP check of Nisi+Mortal Rev, and that strategy also results in higher overall dps, thus lowering the dps check. "
LOL alright bud time to go to bed
I got to the second fight with my static and what even is this? It's barely different from normal mode. After half an hour progging we've seen basically every mechanic.
Edit: actually yea where are the dps checks? I remember in p5 if we had a couple of deaths we'd see enrage cast starting, in R1s we had 5 people dead for over a minute at the end and a healer lb3 for 6 and the enrage mouser barely started.

Do we need to have tight dps check ? If the turn is fun, even without the need to play perfectly ?
1st/2nd turn (especially for a 1st tier) is whatever to me, in M3s with my static we’ve hit enrage a couple of times (we didnt had all of the crafted gear but still), for M4s we didn’t see the enrage cast but it was a clean pull (no deaths/damage down) + full pentameld/new pots/new food, the 4th turn is probably slightly undertuned in terms of dps check (yet still, does the last fight need to remain very strict to be fun or even hard?) but I had a lot of fun
I’ve cleared e8s/p8s week1 and still I had more fun with m4s
Well I wouldn't compare M1S to P5S, O1S/E1S/P1S were extremely easy, i beat them in a single lockout with a static. O5S/E5S/P5S were pretty different tho I did do them all in PF without a static so the difficulty I experienced might have varied.I got to the second fight with my static and what even is this? They said normal content would be harder, and it is. They said nothing about savage.
I'd say the parity between normal content, extremes, and the current savage tier is a lot better than its been in the past, which is a big boon for those wanting to dip their toes in the water.

I'm not seeing an increase of difficulty in "normal" content either. Not to say it isn't fun, but this is still the same easy mechanics we've always had in normal mode. Some of the normal Eden fights would destroy these mechanics, judging by how many times I see people get deleted by the shadowdog, and Dadcred.
