this is a fantastic idea, I hope they consider this at least
Current system database restraint...such things not possible. End note.
Love this idea, im tired of staring at my creepy AF pants when playing Bard, or looking at my Sibold's Reach (because im a noob who hasnt done mog pre req, and only gotten a cane off ifrit) and saying thats not an axe thats like a mini scythe thing.
and this would make things like ifrit, mog fight, and garuda less useless in the future since you might want to run it for some cool weapons.

This has yet to be confirmed, one of the French community devs said the armour will still take up inventory space, this needs to be cleared up really.
There is a good chance that in 2.0 equipped items won't take up inv space as you are wearing it, which is what most MMO's/RPG's do.

I have mentioned this several times in several threads, but this would be a brilliant idea, no more copy look-a-likes, have a character you like the look of rather than a strange mix of gear that looks ridiculous

I agree, extending this to weapons might be a good idea too. Although I would be happy just to have it for gear, would be so nice. ^-^
Let's just pray the community reps see this and pass on the idea. Really really want it in-game. ^_^

Doing fire damage but seeing an ice weapon is very realistic and fun at once. Same with gear. How can this be so important oO'

You had somethin similar in AION it was a part of craftin... but in an other manner.
You could transfer the stats of one item to an other and keep the appearance of the item you converted the stats to.

a thousand times yes, signed.
