World's changed overnight. This was barely a topic of discussion ten years ago, and we spent two of that locked inside. Most of the world's older than 30, and past 25 the years stop mattering as much. Probably something to do with your body finally settling, I don't know.

Maybe it's just because I come from the rougher side of life that I see it as stupid. I've seen far worse and been called worse than the wrong pronouns. Got called a girl a lot when I was younger, so it's not like I don't have experience there. I just politely corrected them and moved on.

Been through a helluva lot worse than that too, lemme tell ya.

But coming in, insulting people, and then expecting them to change their behavior isn't going to work. They're going to double down, because it makes you look like a petty clown at best, outright troll at worst. It just adds credence to their claims.
While I truly appreciate what you're trying to do, the person you've been talking to has been radicalized beyond return. Blame social media for that, man - it's a hell of a drug. Sadly not much to do there.
