The poster you quoted has explained her reason for her choice of using pronouns. She asked you to stop. You should just be respectful to her position when you didn’t bother to debate nor persuade her. You’re basically forcing compelled speech by continuously tailing her. Such behavior is toxic.
Also, “Cis-“ is considered disrespectful and offensive to a lot of people. The voice actress openly used said prefix on her twitter posts. She’s also exposed to be a hypocrite and disrespectful to binary sex when talking about who should be hired for VA’s position. Respect is earned, not given. Hopefully you don’t think she gets free pass just for being trans.
Me disagreeing with her and calling out her transphobic attitude is not "forcing compelled speech" but nice try. You'll notice she's still calling Sena what she wants, and I can't force her to stop. The poster you quoted has explained her reason for her choice of using pronouns. She asked you to stop. Also, could you quote me when I said something similar to "she's trans so she gets a free pass"?
A lot of people need to start taking this to heart more.
Just in general and not to any one person...
Disliking the VA because they are trans - bad
Disliking the VA because they are miscast for the role and simply don't have the vocal range for it - ok
The more the trans/sbi/woke cap comes in, the more support will be lost from people who dislike the voice acting and actually don't give two hoots who it was done by.
やはり、お前は……笑顔が……イイ

I'm not havingb issue with tone or timbre...I can't stand high squeaky Full Metal brother voice....I just have problems with the awfully muddled accent....which is the main thing for me..since I listen to Brazilians and Bolivians all day long. I have other gripes about other things non voice related.
I just don't see why so much personal stuff about the VA is even relevant. All that matters is the performance
Unless it's Jonathan Bailey. Because that's true love, he just doesn't know it yet.
Can you create a buzzword for me describing people who actively disrespect binary sex by using “Cis-“? Preferably ends with -phobicMe disagreeing with her and calling out her transphobic attitude is not "forcing compelled speech" but nice try. I personally don't find Cis to be offensive, as a Cis person. I think it's just helpful in some conversations where Trans comes up. I wouldn't use it at any other time though.
I imagine once upon a time no one needed the word "straight" to describe people, but at some point it became apparent gay people exist so now straight is just a word we all use whereas at some point it probably wasn't needed, and straight was just "normal".
I see people say that non-trans is just "normal" and shouldn't need it's own word, but since trans people exist, I guess Cis is fine as opposed to calling myself "normal" or "non-trans" or whatever.

I appreciate you trying, but I genuinely don't think anyone in this thread is responding to you in good faith and honestly I just wouldn't even bother trying to respond to them and explain why they shouldn't be transphobic. I think they've already made their bed on that one, friend.Me disagreeing with her and calling out her transphobic attitude is not "forcing compelled speech" but nice try. Here's hoping none of these people actually play this game and just enjoy being little transphobic weirdos on these forums. Maybe when the new WoW expansion comes out they will all scurry back to it and we don't have to deal with them anymore.
True, and I don’t feel offended by Cis- either. That was just me trying to get a point across.I personally don't find Cis to be offensive, as a Cis person. I think it's just helpful in some conversations where Trans comes up. I wouldn't use it at any other time though.

There are people who also think refusing to abide preferred pronouns isn’t inherently transphobic nor disrespectful, including those in LGBTQ community. Then we see “ what about millions of trans people find it offensive. What about their feelings”?
That’s why I brought “cis-“ to the table. If people have to change their speech because people find pronouns offensive, why “cis-“ is considered okay when there are indeed people find it offensive? If not using preferred pronouns is considered disrespectful and thus deserves transphobic labels, what label should we use against those who, too, are disrespectful? The VA in question was openly disrespectful to others in her twitter posts, yet people here police others’ use of pronouns on her behalf, demanding respect toward her. I just find it ironic.
A woman expressed her feelings for being disrespected by the action of some trans therefore refusing to use preferred pronouns. People policed her and thew transphobic labels at for not abiding. I could even go so far as to start Redditor’s favorite crusade by saying such actions are inherently misogynistic and anti-women. Buzzwords: traumatized women. Victim blaming.
You see poster tailing another poster even when offered explanation and told to stop. It’s borderline harassment. It happens because some people got offended on someone’s behalf, who’s not even on this forum.
Preferred pronoun is still a new concept, and the way people been pushing it makes people consider it compelled speech. I think it’s understandable. Not to mention the main argument in posts not using preferred pronouns target the poor VA performance not the identity itself.

You have to have an active FFXIV subscription to participate in the forums.
