Can we please have a definitive answer regarding Hats for both Viera and Hrothgar

I usually refer to the mods for hats and hair for Viera/Hrothgar as an update patch. I just feel sorry for those who don't play on a computer.

It's disrespectful not to have a warning for those starting the game that the race they choose probably won't have helmets and access to all the hairstyles in the game (Hrothgars and Vieras) or they'll lose their ears and tails using the new gears (Miqo'te and Au'ras).

Sorry, but hats will never be a reality if you depend on Square Memex for that. How do I know this? They're too lazy to make new hats even for the Miqo'tes, a race that came with the base game since 1.0, which no one asked for or was added due to popular demand.

The hairstyles added for both races were also done in a careless manner, so much so that even with the graphic update, they didn't fix the fact that the Vieras look bald. I don't even need to mention that, initially, they completely removed the Hrothgar's ears, claiming it was impossible to implement new hairstyles with them (and I laugh just remembering the 2B hairstyle that made the Hrothgar look like a bean).

Hell the lack of them not adjusting old head gear to fit Viera and Hrothgar would be more acceptable if at least the new stuff worked on us. But not even the brand new tome gear helms work on Viera. Like wtf.

.... the majority already know that Viera Female and Hrothgar Male Both got included into the game with the launch of the Expansion of Shadowbringers, that's 4 years ago....

Umm were both those races not in SB launch? So wouldn't that be closer to 7 years ago?

Shadowbringers was 2019 and introduced F Viera & M Hroth, Stormblood was 2017, so its only been 5 years. But still no excuse at this point tho. The fact that they've stopped even giving miqo'te unique ear tuft for new hairstyles is also a tell they are cutting corners regardless of race popularity.

I also agree with the above comment that the old hairstyles that have been ported over to viera have been done horrendously since it looks like the ears are just glued onto the old hairstyles, most of which don't even flow in the same direction of the viera's one type of ear tuft that they have.

It's even bleeding over into Miqo'te. So many hats since in the last few years just hide the ears entirely and it really bothers me. There's a mod out there called "Free The Cat Ears" on a certain website that fixes this for over 100 items and lets the ears show on hats where it makes sense to have them poke out, similar to the Viera Hats mod that just lets the ears clip through the hat.

It's funny how they act like it's a quality control issue when Au Ra horns clip through a bunch of head gear in a way that's ugly and makes no sense (I have an au ra alt and finding good headpieces for her can be a challenge) and yet they won't let Viera, Hrothgar, or now even Miqo'te ears clip through the hats when that looks better than hiding them anyway. No rhyme or reason to any of it.
