Expert Dungeon involving a certain Serpent.
Interesting aspect about one of the new expert dungeon story is how it covers the element between the Source and shard that there exists a 1 to 1 copy of a civilization on the Source. The NPC we work with only has this in Theory for now but this side quest adds more to proving his theory true so we may end up seeing more civilizations that may exists in Shards or once existed in the Shards that no longer exists on the Source as new or lost civilizations.
A reunion and not reunion in MSQ with certain NPCs from Shadowbringer.....
I cannot believe we actually met the Source counterparts for Jeryk, Thaffe, and Magnus.
Not to mention Magnus's wife counterpart here is still alive.

I just noticed that the lvl 98 gear is called Ra'kaznar gear. Ra'kaznar is the final dungeon in FFXI: Seekers of Adoulin and its architecture is indeed similar to Solution 9. Probably doesn't mean anything but it probably points to Vanadiel being in the same reflection as Alexandria.
Role Quest antagonists.
I like how the antagonists for this expansion's role quest are basically villains you will see from Kamen Rider and Super Sentai.
They are all complete idiots but they also very dangerous which makes them the most dangerous kind of villains because they can end up doing something completely stupid that may endanger a lot of people while having the strength to prevent people from stopping them.
I seriously been having a serious laugh from each role quest story while understanding why they needed to be stopped due to how dangerous they are. At the sametime they also show how certain parts of the previous storyline really messed up some people to a point they can become just like these bunch of idiots.
That's... not an exaggeration. That's what I get for getting cold feet and setting my own playthrough down at the start of Wings of the Goddess. More so than Solution 9, the bottom of Skydeep is a dead ringer.I just noticed that the lvl 98 gear is called Ra'kaznar gear. On that note, it's probably not an accident that the presently-unused second apartment building we have access to is numbered 9-11 to go with 9-14 (where we stopped briefly during MSQ). That's a lot of quest space.
Oh I agree, seeing that name got my jaw to drop. I really hope that
Zeus is e.g. the name of the ascian that worked on the 9th to prepare it for rejoining, because otherwise it just makes no sense in-game. The expansion might have some writing problems, but so far the team have been really good in sticking to in-game lore when designing things.
I think Wrath of Zeus is an FFXI Ixion reference.
Granted, Ixion is also Rhalgr's steed, and there's supposedly a Myths reference that we're yet to see, so who knows.

I also noticed how somebody in the Unlost World, before erasing the memories, said they met some lalafells that would say "Lali-ho!" as a greeting. I got VERY stuck with that fact and I was very shocked there was no conversation about this with the party members. Like...DUUUDES! That was massive drop of info.Expert Dungeon involving a certain Serpent.

It's also just a reference to the fact that there are lali-ho-ing dwarves in FFIX, because every single other namedrop in that area was from FFIX. Like, that's not actually as out-of-nowhere as you might think. My best reckoning if we really wanted it to be a serious thing is that maybe that's how lalafel sort of naturally developed across all shards, but the Source's numerous calamities have at this point knocked them very far away from their native homeland and culture. ...but more likely, it's just a gag.I also noticed how somebody in the Unlost World, before erasing the memories, said they met some lalafells that would say "Lali-ho!" as a greeting. (Fun fact: I was going to 'well, actually' and clarify that FFIX's dwarves said 'rally-ho' instead, but those are written exactly the same in Japanese... and now I actually suspect 'rally-ho' was the intention, because it's closer to 'tally-ho'.)

There could be a effect of both connection and gag. It's also just a reference to the fact that there are lali-ho-ing dwarves in FFIX, because every single other namedrop in that area was from FFIX. Another aspect they added this expansion adds a bit more to people's connection to their Shard counterpart in the Source from the Pictomancer story quest.
If players chosen the Dialogue option to mention the Grand Cosmos in the finale of the Pictomancer story quest, the topic about how people on the Source can have Dreams about the life of their Shard counterpart is discussed.
This may have a effect on people as they may take those dreams as a way to inspire them to create behaviors, cultures, and etc on the Source.
This may also apply to people on other Shards having dreams about their other Shard counterparts as well.
