It's not really helpful to spectulate downwards about people and what they tell you either. It's not really helpful to speculate about queue times. It's not really helpful to translate your experience across everyone's, and it's not really helpful to persist in your error when like, half a dozen people tell you you're wrong. I would've realized that maybe I don't have the full picture at some point. You told me flat out we tend to lie about these things, thus communicating to me that you're considering whether am a liar, and you don't even see a problem with that. Honestly, your question could just not have been asked. It was rude man. You prefer telling me that than assume you might have it wrong when like, half a dozen people tell you you're wrong.

Since you keep invoking this, let me give the ACTUAL quote which was not only not a "sweeping claim" but not even a claim of fact, but clearly a statement that was obviously a guess on my part.

I mean "substantial" isn't 90%...if 10% of your customers find your basic amenities unacceptable, you're a failure, and I would wager that it's a lot more than that.

I never even assumed that you're personally struggling, except to make an argument about how it would bias perspective.

Like, there's a bias at play here too if you're struggling at the game.

Let's assume you struggle.
Your chances of seeing parties that struggle are much higher than mine, because every single of your parties starts on the backfoot.
Meanwhile, because I know my way around the game and I play it on a decent level, my chances to get a party that struggles are much, much less.
And I can compensate for a mate who struggles or two, which further lowers my chances of me seeing a struggling party.
You see much more parties fail than I do in that situation, which would give you the feeling that a lot more people struggle than reality.

Concerning your 10% of customer argument, consider this:
Mandalorian has a 90% critics review on Rotten Tomatoes. It's universally praised and most people really like it. It's considered a universal success, so much that they made two more seasons.
Fallout show has a 90% audience score on the same website. It's better than all the games except one lol. All of these games are huge successes.
Elden Ring has 91% positive reviews on steam, and it's considered one of the best games of the decade.
Palworld has a 91% positive rating on steam, and it's one of the biggest breakout hits of all times. From the data I can gather, it sold 25 million copies in about a month.
From how the studio talks about this, they didn't even expect 100,000, I doubt they even expected 10,000.
All of these are massive successes lol.
These latter two are also really valuable to the point because there's no other answers than "I like the game" and "I don't", and only the people who own the game can review.

Like I mentioned earlier, it's not because you pay for an entertainment product that you're entitled to liking it, to it catering to you, and certainly not to it changing for you.
That's the equivalent of going to an artist on spotify, saying they need to change things in their music because you don't like it and you paid for it with your time by listening and they got royalties.
Like, no, we don't do this with any other entertainment products except games. And it's super common with video games. It baffles me.
When a game isn't fun for me, I'm more than happy to not play it and leave it to those for whom it is. x_x
Same with music, tv shows, youtube video, whatever lol.

Your 10% feels reasonable in a context like "You're running a mcdonalds".

A common thing I’m finding with those who are criticizing the difficulty of the DT dungeons and raids is that the ones saying the game is too hard are also unable to describe anything regarding how to play their job/role. These fights have no real time limit so if you just take your time and pay attention, maybe stop hitting buttons for a second, you will see and learn how these mechanics work.

I’m terrified of the devs making a snap decision to change course with encounter design because of a manufactured outrage over difficulty stemming from those who refuse to even engage with the tools the game has given you. DT’s encounter designs have been a breath of fresh air for the game and if that breath is snuffed out because people can’t be bothered to let themselves learn a little then I don’t think the game has a future.

The guy that looks like he began playing July 2024 has 6 combat jobs at level 100, all of his other combat jobs are 90+.
He has all of his gatherers leveled to 90. He just never felt compelled to hop on the forums before now.

They want to change the content I like though, which would require me to change the way I play.
Why are you ignoring context to fit your needs ?
Square Enix wanting to keep their customers happy is precisely the reason dawntrail is more dynamic and engaging anyways.

Concerning that other guy, I don't even need to know him and he doesn't need to be my alt for me to know these things, just a look at his profile on lodestone says a lot.
It's like... get this... public information. I know all the classes you've leveled, I know you only have bard at 100 in combat classes and most of your time is probably spent DoL/DoH'ing.

They do not have some vendetta against you or me. I would simply like an even easier button for the MSQ dungeons. I don't care about the normal or hard content ya all play after, have at it hard hehe. I would love to play until they find me slumped dead on my keyboard in the midst of some fun but this time around, due to my 2x torn rotator cuffs awaiting painful surgery and old age arthritus, the MSQs really took a toll on me. I assume I am not the Lone Ranger and just wished I could get a help up, I dunno if I could get through another round like that. Anyway, done here, going back to leveling, hunts and crafts Made me one of those new-fangled house walls...luv it weeee! So cute.
