My guess is they're gonna be betting on the New Alliance raid to keep us placated until they readjust the story (if they decide to at all) in later patches.

That's both pretty far time-wise off and hinging a lot on the raids
1- being accessible from a story perspective for non-ff11 players
and
2- being accessible from a difficulty perspective without an Orbonne-style nerf to make it more palatable to the general public

Not trying to doom but I'm sure they are aware the community are going to have a much lower tolerance now

It doesn't take a lot to keep people happy. If the raids are fun, and the story is passable/comprehensible, it'll be fine. Hell, the whole Nier story was kind of a mess if you didn't know the timeline, but most people seemed to enjoy it.

Ok, dude, I'm not good with name nor face. I often don't remember who and who on the forum even after I quoting them multiple times.

But you, I only saw two posts from you and I already remember your face.

Like I said in another thread, while you can certain count on most people will start forgetting or feel less strongly about the character after a few month ... the question is whether SE think it will be a good idea to reminding the players each time it started fading away. Because things just gonna flare up again whenever WL is brought back to stage light. If that's what SE has in the plan for the next 2.5 years, I think they really should start making change to that plan ... like right about now.

Alliance Raid: Speak with Wuk Lamat

We've had Krile and Graha for the EW AR, so Wuk will probably be joining us for the DT ones because exploration and dawnservant. She has to be in the 7.1-7.3 patches because of the characters present.

What we should worry about is if the writer will kill the characterization of other characters to boost Wuk's status. Like how in Tales of Zestiria, Rose was so special that the whole party called Alisha not a true friend(JP version, was changed in Global) and then the DLC had Rose attack Alisha throughout it(even though it was Alisha's DLC) and treating her badly. If this falls in the same situation, imagine having Wuk Lamat preach to us about how bad one of the characters we care about.

Imagine her telling us that Krile isn't a real friend because of her relation to endless, and then all the Scion agreeing and that we should kill Krile or something because Wuk is our real friend. Then she joins us as an official scion taking Krile's spot etc. Writer's pets are horrifying because we've seen from other games what they'll do to make their character look good.

Or maybe she’ll actually stay home and actually do some Dawnservanting instead of leaving Koana in charge by himself. I’d say Koana should come but I don’t know Wuk’s ruling style enough to trust we won’t come back to Tulliyolal accidentally on fire if she’s left alone without him.

My bet is Erenville will be our NPC Alliance buddy. We need more fussy bun bun time and the theme of the raid would fit well with him going off an adventure.

That said, I'm betting they'll do the same they did with Lyse. They'll play lip service to her, but we'll have a bigger mystery to go solve, and she'll say "Well, I need to stay here and help my people" and off we'll go.

One can only hope.

Tbh I kind of hope wr are done with the New World. I feel like we aren't because of Beast Master and the lack of setup for anything new. I just don't want to deal with any more of the forced happiness vibe. I don't want to hear anyone talking about peace, people smiling, etc which basically disqualifies Wuk Lamat and myriad other characters who got adopted into her line of thinking.

They really just ruined everyone's potential with Wuk as the vehicle. They were all done wrong and became generic peace cheerleaders, even psycho Bakool Ja Ja.

Hopefully we just go to a totally new zone and learn about Blue Mages or something.
