[Feedback] Wuk Lamat's English Voice

I defend her performance because I liked her performance quite a bit, and I've listened to her other work, she's fine.

Including high pitched female battle voice? Mind linking a sample? Would love to hear it. If you read all of my posts complaining about her voice, this is usually the specific and particular thing I usually mention.

Also do you think you know Sena's voice performance even better than herself? I mean ...



Are you so passionate about defending Sena that you're going to dismiss the struggle she herself admit?

I clicked through 50 pages of this thread to find that, consider my reward for your honest passion about the subject. But I'm pretty sure that's not the only time she discussed about that particular limitation about her range, feel free to comb through the thread for more proof.

I already gave the other guy an advise, so this one is for you, or rather ... a question I hope you take a moment to reflect: are you really defending Sena as a person, or are you defending your own ideal version of her?

You know that's why these days I stop being passionate or become 'fan' of anything. Because in my experience whenever I become that involved, whenever I think I was defending someone, most of the time it wasn't the real person, but the image of that person in my head.

And I believe we have a short, concise word for that: ego.

The problem I take is with the direction, because there are times when she's talking more calmly when she should be yelling, and even in this expansion we can hear that she's more than capable of putting on a convincing and satisfying yell.

Seeing how in the other 3 languages don't have this particular problem that would be a bit of a stretch. Have you ever entertaining the idea the reason she didn't yell because she ... couldn't yell? And again, before you come up with another deflection ... just look at the pic above.

this has nothing to do with my opinion or my tastes. she's just a horrible actor. no range, horrible fake accent, her lines just didnt land, the voice delivery didnt match the screen. it was objectively bad.
you might be fine with it and thats your taste. but it just wasnt good.

People have to work on ignoring those who bring nothing to the discussion and just want to yell. It's not an argument when arguing goes one way, while the other way is just giving back insults and name calling. Indifference is the deadliest thing you can do for someone who is desperate for attention. These people are the type of people who would defend a certain VA for SAing a minor, because he's gay, then there's Kris Tyson, whose being shielded for being trans and not dealing with the same backlash as DrDisrespect. Then there's the Yasuke crap. You should know by now how they'll act, what they support, and so on to a particular topic, no need to waste your breath or post.

More to the topic at hand. It seems the strike does affect FFXIV, but the strike could just be total bull as this is the same group that abandoned the VAs and called them "lower class" last time. I don't believe that they actually care about the VAs for games and lower anime and what not. When AI is somewhat acceptable for filmography but not gaming brings an issue to what can be done. AI is still bad for taking jobs, but it'll probably be a struggle to fight against it.



Chances are if Sena hasn't been contracted for 7.1-7.5, then Wuk's role could be reduced greatly, like how Yugiri stopped showing up after her previous VA was murdered. YoshiP does care about the non-JP VAs some what I would think. The twins VAs has said that they record lines a month in advance to the patch, so if contracts aren't set then chances are Sena won't be returning considering SAG has FFXIV down as to not support. IF there is a huge dislike of the American VA side, you could give SquareEnix the golden ticket to replace all of them with European ones.

I doubt he'll apologize for miscasting Wuk, or the bad writing, or the weird pacing, or the healer's complaints, or the graphics update issues. He'll probably apologize for having to either replace the VAs, delay the patch while waiting for VAs, or moving to AI for the VAs. That might be taken as a tacit apology for other things, but that'll be up to each individual to infer.

There are some that are upset that the male MC in the new assassins creed (takes place in medieval Japan) is black. He is based on a samurai by the name of Yasuke who was from Africa. That's about it.
