lol I am not on twitter, and the only thing I watch on YT is walkthroughs of old games where they don't talk about anything but the game. What I do is this thing called looking at the social media and listening to the talks and reading the publications of a company after hearing word of them, which I hadn't until this thread, and then come to my own conclusions. And if you take an unbiased look at this company and what they are actually saying both to the public and to investors, it's pretty obvious how scummy they are. Just because you are on the side of the under represented and are claiming to do what you do for the good of said group, doesn't mean you are for the right reasons. Exploiting groups for profit, even if they are your own, is nothing new. Just as blindly following the companies who do so, is nothing new. If exploitation never existed, pride would still be about us actual lgbtq+ ppl and not just a stage for corperations to show how cool they are. Cause for the last decade or so, that is all pride has been.

I mean, the best examples of this are how they treat pride month, really. Rainbows over everything, except for, you know, those places that would immediately end them for that kind of thing. And of course, the rainbows immediately disappear the instant the month is over.

what I find so funny about this is that you are doing the exact same thing. I don't agree with you so you claim I am the victim of rage bait and when I give a thoughtful and intelligent answer you immediately go to "whatever". You are literally unwilling to have a conversation, you just adamantly believe you are in the right because of whatever reason. You know how we say with conservatives, that every accusation is a confession? Well that is not a one way street. This comment just goes to show that you are just as willing to believe what you are told as anyone else because you think that you are in the right. That you are correct. That you better because you do not fall for propaganda. And all I say to that is, lol. We are all susceptable and its up to us individually to at least do due dilligence. I am part of the lgbtq community too, but that does not mean I will turn a blind eye to the shenanigans that some of these groups and esp for profit companies do. If you really cared about the lgbtq community, you would be more vigilant too.

This sort of attitude is no better than those who wanna scream "woke!" and dismiss or bash it.

I challange you to actually go and do some reading and listening. Not from some third party site, but from the company themselves. While I log off here and go play the game.

I did look at their website, months ago when it was first brought up and came to my own conclusions that anyone who genuinely believes the conspiracy theory of SBI being so powerful they can influence/bully developers into how a game is designed is... well, like I said earlier in this thread, I haven't got nice words to say about them.

I feel like the softness of the Wuk's tone is very fitting. My personal note, I would like to hear some furious vocals during times of extreme anger for her character. Other than that, while I'm currently watching the wife play further in the story, I have zero complaints

In the days of social media being such a powerful tool that it has already been used to polarize our country in ways never before imagined, I am surprised ppl don't realize the power small companies or groups of individuals can have over large companies if they are savvy enough to weaponize it. Esp when it comes to topics that are already incedibly polarizing and that people are incredibly passionate about, which will make a lot of ppl default to supporting them regardless. It is ripe for exploitation. Never underestimate the extremes people will go to, to make a buck.

Sweet Baby hasn't worked on this game at all. Yes, SE did use some consultation / sensibility readers for Dawntrail (and I do suspect they're part of the reason why all the different tribes feel so boring, sanitised, and squeaky clean this expansion) but there's no reason at all to believe it was Sweet Baby. So let's not spread misinformation and start fighting windmills and bogeymen.

Semantics. Any use of "consultation / sensibility readers" is not only unnecessary, as it wasn't required to deliver a positive experience in previous expansions, but also unacceptable. The whole business is nothing but a grift that undermines the quality of the product. Perhaps it wasn't SBI specifically, but "Sweet Baby Inc." has become a term that describes the grift as a whole. It's similar to how "Google" has become synonymous with looking something up on the internet.
