
To be fair, potency on BLM is iffy, as there is a multiplier for potency with enochian and astral fire. If I recall, it's actually somewhere between 800 and 900. So not 400 piddly, but still kinda pathetic.



AF3 is a 1.8 multiplier. You could double Flare Star's base potency to 800 and, with AF, it'd be 1440, so basically the same as Picto's Madeen or Star Prism. That's how weak Flare Star is btw, takes way more setup and, even if you doubled its potency, it'd only be "ok" (Prism has a heal and is an instant cast, Muses/Mog/Madeen is an ogcd you get every 40s). Absolute disgrace of a capstone for level 100, not gonna lie.
From the post below, this is actually true. It needs an additional 1.3 multiplier (both come out to 2.34). Even then, you could still double Flare Star's potency and it'd be ok.
Well... technically, that would enable single-target Flare to be optimal, which would actually be interesting, if I'm being honest, as a way to re-enable short fire lines :')

That puts it at 936 potency with the AF modifier and Enochian compared to 1400 star prism, 1400 Madeen, 1100 creature muses, 1740 critical hit hammer, 1000 Rainbow Drip, etc. Considering what it takes to build Flare Star, it should be more in par with NIN's Hyosho which is like 1900 potency.
