This is too high of a concept for a typical Dawntrail enjoyer. They can't understand anything beyond good guy good, bad guy badYeah not saying he was great guy I am saying he loved those adopted children as his own, he loved his legion, he loved his homeland and he loved his emperor.
In turn he lost all of his children and feels responsible for all of their death and even before that he came to regret them being groomed into being soldiers because of his change in of heart so he was already guilt ridden. He was manipulated by Lahabrea into using ultima which killed his entire legion, he hated himself for it so much the only reason he stayed alive was because he felt like he didn't deserve the peace of death. His entire homeland has been completely and utterly destroyed in a civil war, the entire military and goverment population has been destroyed and most of the civilians have also died, he wasn't able to save his Emperor from the Ascians and he truly believed he could of helped the Garleans find peace between the other nations by fighting their joined enemy of the asicans but completely and utterly failed.
If you think hes evil and iredeemable thats fine all im saying is he never had a happy ending, if anything him dying back in ARR would of been more of a mercy then what he went through.
Things really picked up for me with the cowboy zone and even heritage found but I cannot express just how soul draining it felt when we finally get to solution 9 and everyone splits up to go explore this new wondrous techno city and then wuk lamat wanders into frame to make us explore with her, which just results in seeing the things she wants to see. Immediately tanked my momentum and put me back on babysitting mode and it never quite recovered after that lol
More like people are far more interested in virtue signaling these days then they're used to be. I wonder if people know or forget in FF8 children age 5 and 15 are enlisted to eventually become mercenary, many of them are orphans.
Why not have it all?
Have the loss be so bad it’s why she turns into a peace and happiness enforcer to the point it consumes her.
We could return to Tulliyollal for [insert reason here] and somethings noticeably off. Throw in some hints about people being forced to be happy or they go get re-educated or something that sounds nicer for peace and happiness enforcement.
Then somewhere down the line we get Wuk Lamat cracked like an egg because [major loss event] and not even Koana could steer things back on track. Also make her defeat in a solo mission because it’ll just be some mad ruler not powered up by any outside forces, magics, or gods.
This is why my immediate action in the zone was to explore by myself. I was even more worn down by her being there for this 2nd half, cuz she reallyThings really picked up for me with the cowboy zone and even heritage found but I cannot express just how soul draining it felt when we finally get to solution 9 and everyone splits up to go explore this new wondrous techno city and then wuk lamat wanders into frame to make us explore with her, which just results in seeing the things she wants to see. did not need to be there for most if not all of it.
I explored as much as I could until MSQ wouldn’t let me move forward, then rinse and repeat cuz I need a break from that woman-child.
Wuk Lamat needs Lyse levels of character development and she needs it fast or exits the story line.
Same for me. Also I enjoyed doing any side quests everytime the new ones coming up, it's such a good breather, and actually more memorable than the MSQ.This is why my immediate action in the zone was to explore by myself. The only way Wuk can come anywhere near Lyse's level of character is if they writers drop her protective shield and give some real flaw, real failure and real consequence.
I seriously don't get the comparision between Wuk and Lyse. Sure, they're both the unpopular face of the expansion but that's pretty much where the similarity stop.
Storm Blood spent HALF of the expansion kicking and beating on Lyse, by mid MSQ her own people told her she's failure and just get lost. At the same point of the story, Wuk had finished her ascension to universal adoration.
By the end of SB, Lyse emerged as a leader who was battered and bruised limping to her post that's not even a ruler. Wuk was handed a 2nd population to rule while barely losing a single strain on her fur coat.
They are NOT the same.
When that happened, and I saw it was a "NPC follow me", I immediately canceled the quest acceptance and explored on my own as far as I could go.Things really picked up for me with the cowboy zone and even heritage found but I cannot express just how soul draining it felt when we finally get to solution 9 and everyone splits up to go explore this new wondrous techno city and then wuk lamat wanders into frame to make us explore with her, which just results in seeing the things she wants to see. May the stars light thy way.
The first impression of her is soured for me, but I would like to see if they could fix her being so one-dimensional (and possibly grow to be more mature). That would fix most of the problems I have with her, and not having to interact with her as much as well. We played kingmaker with a child, and it rubs me the wrong way. This isn't the first time we've played kingmaker, but it's never been with someone who didn't at least grow a little.
May the stars light thy way.
