Reminds me of a healer who got upset that people kept yelling at him to use LB3 when everyone was dead. He didn't even have limitbreak on his hotbar. It has mechanics in it that have nothing to do with the casual player. I don't use my chat. don't even look at it. As a DPS I pull my Limit Breaks as soon as they pop. Everyone started yelling at me. NOT COOL!!! Put this somewhere else. NOT in the MSQ. Not everyone wants to research how every battle is going to go before the battle. Now I got people on my case. NOT COOL. GET IT OUT OF THERE!!
Level 100 trial, by the way.
For future reference, most expansion end trial (the last trial of the xPac) require a tank limit break, so, dont just pop it off in these at least.
And read chat, it is an MMO, not a single player game.

Every required LB fills the bar automatically to full, you don't need to worry about that. In fact you are completely wasting it by holding onto it for the LB mechanic.just might keep in mind thats not always the best idea. sometimes part of a mechanic is the tanks need to use it or there's a wipe. the Limit Break isnt there just for your personal use.
I almost never use one myself. thats usually a good thing but if I need to use one, if some DPS has already used it, its a wipe.
Just don't use it unless you know how/chat tells you when you see it suddenly fill up.
Yeah I dunno what he means either. Do they mean something like Thordan (the last fight of HW) or Nidhogg (the last fight of post-HW)... obviously neither of which need tank LBs. There's only 2 that do, which is Endsinger and Seat of Sacrifice. Both of which don't allow the DPS to steal the LB since it recharges and has no targetable enemies. Although... I suppose a magic DPS could steal it. Never seen it done though.
This is true but also I've seen like two groups ever kill the tear without lb and also have seen several wipes where the group fails to kill the tear even WITH the lb lolFor the record, using the DPS limit break on the tear is not actually required. And usually, DPS will be high enough to kill the tear without it.
The reason people get so fussy about saving the DPS LB3 for it is in case they get a party of people who don't know what they're doing. In that case, there could be tanks and melee dps not absorbing meteors and there could be DPS that can't kill the tear in time due to lack of rotation understanding.
Nevertheless, even in these cases, battle system changes and potency increases have led to where in most cases the DPS is still likely to be there for the tear without DPS LB3.
If you don't save it for the tear, the community may not be happy with it, but if you call their bluff and use it early they will probably kill the tear anyway... you will just get some backlash in chat for it if you do. So there's a secret many of these players don't actually know... that it's not required.
Usually because people try to soak the meteors instead of dpsing the tear.
Honestly i do think the fight needs some rework or to become a solo duty, because it's kind of an annoying fight and doesn't do a great job of explaining mechanics that aren't immediately obvious and as far as I remember aren't really seen before that point. Like it's not a hard trial. It just drags.

I always love to throw out all my buffs and enjoy em for a whole minute, especially as healer and tank... but i gave up telling ppl to resist...The big mechanic that multiplies everyones debuffs (and more importantly, buffs) is almost actively ignored by everyone I ever see in this fight. It would not surprise me if most people reading this don't even know what I'm referring to.
Back in the day, sure it was needed to be paid attention to, but nowadays the entire fight is a joke and teamwork is not required.
Yeah its insane how some ppl glide to 100... this is beyond at least 2 expensions of endgame, NO ONE is new here and if you skipped, no pity for you.
Ive just tried the first ex trial... ppl died to stuff thats old since like Omega. And asked "whats H1 and H2?" while the the healers had the 1 & 2 mark on em... like i dont know all mmo terms either, even after many years but if you have THIS little awareness.... please, go back and train.
This thread has to be a troll, if not, the OP should better uninstall, please.

The Chrysalis was made when the devs weren't afraid to have players die... They should go back to that mentality.
I don't know if the post is a troll, but just in case: watching the chat is not optional. You'll be doing everyone a favour if you get into the habit of doing it, yourself included. Many trials require a more specific use of the LB than a simple ‘let's slam it in dps as soon as it pops’. So asking the question at the start of an instance gives you confirmation that you can use it, without spoiling the fight.I don't use my chat. don't even look at it
Small note: but as a player, people who aren't used to looking at their chat are quickly annoying. I'm happy to help newcomers by explaining everything that needs to be explained; on the other hand, when you get bored asking for something / typing an explanation and the other person doesn't reply, it's downright discouraging. This is an MMO, and even if there's room for a single-player style, communication is still essential.
So please, OP, and any new players arriving here: read the chat.
... And, perhaps it's a bit old-school, at least take the time to respond to the greetings at the start of the instance.
They aren't "your" limit breaks. The only reason you have access to them at all is because you're in a group.
If you're going to play a team game, be more of a team player, and get over yourself. Assuming this isn't just a troll thread, which it sure feels like it is.
