How is Chrysalis a MSQ???? It needs to be removed or the mechanics dumbed down

Just gonna point this out. When you're playing group content in an MMO, at the very least looking at the chat is kinda important. There's a lot in this particular MMO that can be done solo, but when you actually are actively doing something with other people, some level of communication is expected. Also, if you don't even look at the chat, how did you know they were yelling at you?

I know that I personally can fall into a "tunnel vision" where I simply don't notice because I'm just too focused at what's happening.
So I wouldn't be surprised if others might have similar situations.
But regardless of that, if I'm new in a duty as a DPS I will more often than not let others handle the Limit Break button since I don't know if/when it's the best time to use it when someone else might.
And if no one's been using it I ask in chat "DPS LB?" and either a DPS uses it then or someone sais "no".

just might keep in mind thats not always the best idea. sometimes part of a mechanic is the tanks need to use it or there's a wipe. the Limit Break isnt there just for your personal use.

I almost never use one myself. thats usually a good thing but if I need to use one, if some DPS has already used it, its a wipe.

Devs should just add combat skip for poor/lazier players (why harp on casuals? I'm a casual) and be done with it, think of how much more fun this game would be without having to worry about people who don't want it play to begin with

It's just the Austin Powers steamroller scene. Playing a long term, hobbyist game and adopting such an absurd stance makes for such a vocal specimen of narcassism. No amount of game design can correct such poor behavior.

I think it's more when you're not as skilled, fights take more of your focus, so you're unlikely to be watching the chat a lot. I know in a frantic fight, I'm definitely not watching the chat, I'm just trying to avoid dying and pressing my skills .

please. next having the game play itself will be too hard and they have to send out employees to do it for them.

I mean, at this point its like leveling is pointless because they cant count that high

The big mechanic that multiplies everyones debuffs (and more importantly, buffs) is almost actively ignored by everyone I ever see in this fight. It would not surprise me if most people reading this don't even know what I'm referring to.
Back in the day, sure it was needed to be paid attention to, but nowadays the entire fight is a joke and teamwork is not required.

I could get behind the removal of Chrysalis if they turned it into a solo duty like they did with cape westwind or the sidescroller trial (think it was just called "Steps of Faith" at the time), not because the trial's hard, but because it's so incredibly boring.

Also you're playing an MMO. It literally has "multiplayer" in the name. Read your chat.

It has mechanics in it that have nothing to do with the casual player. I don't use my chat. don't even look at it. As a DPS I pull my Limit Breaks as soon as they pop. Everyone started yelling at me. NOT COOL!!! Put this somewhere else. NOT in the MSQ. Not everyone wants to research how every battle is going to go before the battle. Now I got people on my case. NOT COOL. GET IT OUT OF THERE!!
