I’m not defending Square Enix at all; it’s just that you don’t realize how tedious and excessively expensive this kind of work is.
They weren’t obligated to do it, and if they chose to, they have always been very clear about how they would do it.
So why complain?

I would have preferred for them to take until 9.0 to have a complete product. You are very much right.
