I’m not defending Square Enix at all; it’s just that you don’t realize how tedious and excessively expensive this kind of work is.
They weren’t obligated to do it, and if they chose to, they have always been very clear about how they would do it.
So why complain?

I would much rather give them the development time needed to release a proper, quality, bug-free product than rush them to throw out something because "they had to"

I'm happy to wait as long as it takes to get a quality product
