Only 4 eu countries can participate with the EU Gong Cha event, why SE???

Hi everyone,

As some of you might know, the EU Gong Cha event starts today. If someone buys 3 of their tea, they can change the codes into a Porxie King mount. This event is for EU, but the stores that sell this item is only in 4 EU countries. Why doesnt Square pick a franchise/product that sold in more countries? The US gets a event for a product that is sold in most stores, but we get this?

Square Enix, please just sell the mount in the store for the price of 3 Gong Cha tea. Fellow EU players, what are your thoughts about this event? Are you oke with this?

Yeah I'm over a thousand miles away from the nearest. I think only four states out of fifty here even have a store. Which is fine, don't need everything! But if I wanted one that'd be a hell of a trip for some boba tea.

Arguably better than not being supported at all, if expensive. Especially seeing how the unsupported countries that can no longer buy stuff or even sub without jumping through hoops have not been so much as mentioned.

I think there will be some other way in the future to obtain the mount. From all regions/languages you can select on the lodestone, Germany is the only one that doesn't have a lodestone article about that promotion, therefore the event doesn't take place for germans. Because Gong Cha doesn't exist in Germany.

They keep making promotions where they set an country then limit it. They need to work out a better agreement with companies if this is what they settle on or ask to sell it on mogstation for a limited time

My Canadian friends couldn’t even get the mountain dew mount even though they sell mountain dew there. Surely they could of made some sort of deal to include the other north american country lol

Yeah - mogstation. The same way it has been always. I remember my first use ever of the forums was back in 2016 when the maid/butler outfit campaign for EU was with a code from a magazine that was sold in the UK and sold in a few hours and they literally never did another campaign for it again until they just released it in mogstation to purchase. Literally nothing has changed since then - their campaigns , especially for EU , have been terrible.

They do! ... just not about their players
After their choco mount (jp regional event) they saw they didnt region lock it.
They cared about that and instantly put efforts to region locked all the other pomotion events.
