Because while encounters were pretty stale in EW the jobs have been stale since ShBThey said they were changing the encounter designs with DT, and I think a lot of people have said they've delivered on that front so far. Legitimate question, but what kind of content are you expecting? If you could provide some examples, that would be great.
Circling back to OP, I get your frustration. However, my experience in dealing with major changes is that you don't tackle everything at once. I've said it before, but from what I've seen, it seems like the first thing they wanted to do was change the encounter space. So far, they've done that. Once you have that piece done, now you can focus on individualizing the jobs. Does that mean it will probably be until 8.0? I'm going to say yes based on previous experience. If you can't find a single job you want to play, that seems to me there is something deeper here then just the jobs that is causing you to step away and is a culmination of things, not just one.
It’s hard to find a job to be engaged with the better content when they are 21 versions of food colour dyed oatmeal
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
