Honestly, I'm completely against ALTs when it comes to FFXIV (seeing that characters are not fixed to specific classes, but can play all classes) So I think this single item system is completely fair. Plus the fact that being able to get multiple items among your characters destroys the exclusiveness. The items are designed to give a unique and exclusive feel to your character, not the whole account and army of alts on it.
I completely agree with you, but if u see my other post my concern with them letting us have so many alts for free they might change the way the armoury system is, unless they code it differently, or buy 8X more storage than a normal MMO would have idk how they would do it. From a PR point of view I can see how this is the logical choice, but from a technical pov it doesn't seem to make much sense to me. So was just wondering if it would go to all new characters if they do change the armoury system. If they don't change the armoury system than I could care less cause im more than likely never going to make an ALT.Honestly, I'm completely against ALTs when it comes to FFXIV (seeing that characters are not fixed to specific classes, but can play all classes) So I think this single item system is completely fair. So, indirectly, we are not paying for the game right now, assuming that the money we are paying right now is covered up by the discount to-be-implemented at post-launch of version 2.0.In short, you are still playing a free game, only if you continue playing version 2.0.
Am I correct?

Yeah, that is exactly what it reads as. One fee for several characters.Apologies for not reading through the entire thread.. I just don't have the time at the moment, but I have a question..
I won't assume anything, but it appears that the $3 per character fee is being done away with. Does anyone know if this is true or not?
SE will have my ever-lasting love if so. XD
I think this is only the tip of the legacy iceberg. Dont forget they mentioned legacy weapons. As for the chocobo I'm gonna go on a whim and say the the bird wont look like our normal eorzean birds and not talking about just armor or some shaded in feathers. It is really wonderful that Yoshi became a part of this and did something I thought SE would never do and that is be involved with the community on this level. When 2.0 comes I hope the dev team can rest easy but still continue to strengthen this already strong bond with us.
