The only exception to that seems to be the saddle maker, that jacks up the price in order to stall Wuk Lamat because he is against her becoming Dawnservant.
Did we forget the first PeluPelu? The one that was trying to get Wuk Lemat to buy clothes she didn't need cause "if she is going to be dawnservent, she needs nice new clothes." Also, the Hrothgar at the start who set out to buy some Alpaca Fleece, but after the PeluPelu got him drunk on Mezcal, he bought more than he intended to? Though sure, lets just forget that happened too.

    1) Dude was trying to make a sale. Nothing wrong with that. When he was told that there is no interest that was that.

    2) They didn't "get him drunk". The quest actually elaborates on that when you talk to the Mamool-Ja. The Pelu Pelu are used to Mezcal. Their visitors might not be and thus underestimate it's impact. The Pelu just provide it because they think it makes for a comfortable business environment.

When you confront the bar owner and relay the Mamool-Ja's desire for something less strong (in this case Mate tea), the Pelu is thankful for the input, admits that he failed to consider the adverse effects of Mezcal and offers other options immediately.

In both cases, there was no malice involved.

Ok, granted on the Mezcal. However, trying to sell Wuk Lemat clothes she didn't need just so she would be "more presentable", and look more Royal? Also, of the Alpaca Saddle Maker who literally admitted he didn't want to because of his support of Zoraal Ja, and made it hard for her? Was there no malice in those trade deals?

That's like saying every advertisement in real life is done with malicious intent. The first one that addresses Wuk Lamat literally does just that: advertise his product.

I already stated that the saddle maker was the exception to the rule. No society is a completely homogenous, monolithic block.
So it stands to reason that there are also more shady Pelu Pelu.

Yeah. Traders trying to get people to buy thing is just a trading thing. It's not done maliciously. They have things to sell, and it's easier to sell them if you grab peoples attention.

Ultimately there's no arguing with someone determined to find things to get upset about or who reads jews and nazis into everything they can. The kind of person that looks at 'giants went to war but got sick' and immediately jumps to 'nazis in Russia' as if that is the only failed campaign in history, especially given that invasion didn't fail because of disease itself but because of poor planning and lack of cold weather gear/clothing. It's all the same paranoid outrage merchant 'anti woke' brainrot like people getting mad about Rogue's ass in x men 97.
