This is Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, where it takes less than two braincells to tank in dungeons. This isn't M+.There is also this generation of the 'Go go go' attitude + 'Dungeon Finder Anonymity' that is just annoying and punishing for newer players. Seeing it also frequently in some trying to get their feet wet in M+ at WoW, only to get massacred by overzealous DPS and dunking hard on them if they pull too much and the tank cannot handle it due to inexperience, bricking everyone's key on purpose by leaving or kicking said tank because they did not get what they wanted instead of communicating and coordinating with the group if they got a new one with them.
It was harder back at ARR and HW, and only got dumbed down further.
When TP was a thing and Gladiators/Paladins had to use Flash to pick up trash mobs, which used MP, but due to it being a non-damage move it generated less than what Overpower did on the Warrior - Which was a frontal cone.
Yes, people actually were patient so the tanks could generate enough emnity. Nowadays it's just throwing full burst on the first second they do their spinny attacks, hence SE has to patch them in oder to provide a bigger emnity gain.
It is, combined with the increased self-sustain, that this dumbing down is a damn shame.
That sounds a lot better then this braindead content that a chimpanzee slapping on a keyboard could do. They should revert everything. It was harder back at ARR and HW, and only got dumbed down further.
