Unable to use Visa debit (north American)

It very likely not SE who is 'waiting' until July to have this fixed. I am POSTIVIVE they would LOVE to have this fixed before DT. It's very likely Visa that is causing the delay, as usual. (wouldn't be the first time, Visa is a horrible company).

Square switched Payment Processors. It's that new Processor that is dropping the ball and costing Square, likely, 10s of thousands of dollars in lost revenue.

This has to be the craziest thing I have ever seen for a payment processor to not accept Visa cards in the 21st century. I would understand if it was the 1970s but not the 2020s.

Whoever chose this budget processor did not really understand exactly how much money is being left on the table around the world. This is no small sum and any savings that could have been realized by switching have been utterly wiped out by the losses in transactions.

I have major USA bank Visa and I am unable to buy things from SE. I used to shop regularly on the Mogstation but here we are, July, no fixes, and more sales lost.

just chiming in to say this hasn't been resolved for me either, yet I can purchase stuff just fine on the square enix store so i was able to buy DT and a gametime card. I'm just glad I never bought retainers or I'd be quite miffed

I've heard using a Revolut card has worked for some people. I would give it a shot if it's an option for you.

Not to mention the audacity to be like "just buy crysta :^) " as if they hope everyone will just go along with that from now on. No, fix the ability for people to be able to purchase from your store. With their VISA cards. That they received from their bank.

Yeah, I had to switch to a credit card which I'm not a big fan of but it was no longer accepting my Visa debit either. Hoping this gets fixed soon.

At least in EU there is progress now but it's only about a specific issue for a very popular French payment option, so who knows what this means for others. :/
