Trash writing doesn’t bother me. It’s the gameplay that puts me to sleep. So far I’ve went there, killed that, clicked on shinny objects and waited in areas. So disappointing.

Honestly, even if the voice acting was good, there was no saving this scene. I have no idea wtf they were thinking with this scene. She legit says nothing we haven't already heard. This was definitely supposed to be a "character realizes something and grows" sort of moment but what the hell does she realize?

I'd reorganize that list 1>4>2>3, to be honest. That much becomes evident when comparing certain new characters to voices we've heard before.

This whole expansion story seems like they were not even interested in doing it.
It’s like they are doing FF17 and the B team got DT to play with. It sells anyway because of the EW hype.

That's how a lot of voice acting works. The voice actors don't see the scene, but just get the lines, most of the time even with zero context.

As far as I recall, they mentioned that from 6.1 onward, the entirety of Dawntrail was penned by young interns. It was a collaborative effort to inject new talent into the team, prepare to pass the torch as the veteran members age, and appeal to a younger audience simultaneously.

The EN voice does make it worse, but as someone that always plays the game with JP audio - and the JP voice acting is always great quality, even in Dawntrail - the scene is still bad. It feels pointless and is embarassing to watch. I don't think the reaction would change much, the writing is more to blame than anything.
