FFXIV - 1.0 classic servers (before the meteor) should happen. I think I want it, and I do.

Not even Yoshi's favorite streamer, Preach, can defend Wuk Lamat's VA any longer.
Honestly, even if the voice acting was good, there was no saving this scene. I have no idea wtf they were thinking with this scene. She legit says nothing we haven't already heard. This was definitely supposed to be a "character realizes something and grows" sort of moment but what the hell does she realize?
Assuming this question is in good faith, Wuk Lamat comes to understand what "peace" means to her in this scene. She was insecure about the vapidity of her inherited "love for peace" when her siblings so blatantly exhibit the qualities of strength and logic of Gulool Ja Ja. Whereas before she didn't see it as anything more than "the absence of war," in this scene she realizes that what makes her embody GJJ's love for peace is her appreciation of the different cultures of Tural and her desire to see the day-to-day moments of joy with the people she cares about.
Basically, she defines the "peace" she's been fighting for and now has a much more tangible goal in mind, strengthening her resolve.

Maybe that heart-to-heart scene would worked better if it was presented in a better way? That felt so godawful cringe and when Wuk shouted, I just facepalm and can only sigh in dissapointment at what I am watching
I think this is true with a lot of the writing in this expansion. There is a good outline and a lot of good ideas, but execution kept falling flat with the actual writing.
That is an interesting way to look at it. Maybe if Wuk had questioned herself more in previous quests or in general was a more serious character I would've came to a similar conclusion, but it honestly feels like to me that her ideology was just restated louder in this scene once again as if it was the first time we were hearing it. Obviously what I'm about to say is with hindsight and recollection but I feel like we already knew at this point why Wuk wants the thrown what her idea of peace was and that this moment wasn't really a revelation it was just a very cheesy moment that kinda came out of nowhere.Assuming this question is in good faith, Wuk Lamat comes to understand what "peace" means to her in this scene. The idea is great, but the execution is terrible, and that seems to be a huge problem and a recurring pattern in the story so far. Hanuhanu story. Goldsmith story. This Wuk Lamat bit. And this is just the first two zones.Assuming this question is in good faith, Wuk Lamat comes to understand what "peace" means to her in this scene. Yeah Ishikawa was there for the execution in the previous two expansions
This time she just oversees from the top and approve probably. Good ideas, horrible horrible execution
You'll get no arguments from me. The shouting was cringe.
