So the thing is that support alone is enough to show how much popularity an idea has. If its a bad idea, less people will support it. Good ideas will have more traction.The reality is, development budgets are finite resources. So a paying customer has every right to voice opposition to suggested ideas if they believe it would be diverting resources not only away from developing things they actually want, but also if the idea is just bad for the game in general.
No need to bring others ideas down.
