FFXIV Legacy and Welcome back campaigns

Just going to pop in quickly to clarify Legacy member qualification for those that are unsure:

Paying for at least 90 days at any time between January 6, 2012 and the start of 2.0 beta testing is how you qualify to become a Legacy member. You do not need to pay for 90 days in a row to qualify.

Hope that clears that up!

They're not attempting to attract new players, they're attempting to get existing players to return, who will all be contacted via email. The rest of the initiative is targeted at players like us, who are still playing. So putting this on other websites would be a waste of money.

They don't want a media re-launch until E3, at which point they'll be pushing for 2.0. They want a majority of players who haven't tried yet who want to try to come in 2.0, so they can be amazed and wowed. That's when they will push the advertising, and be looking to bring in completely new players.

Why would a patch need a beta test? it's not an expansion, nor a real "new game" (in a way it is for the ps3 version) if you want to beta test it, go on the ps3 version, for the people who already own the pc version will enjoy it before you since it will be an free content update for us

I normally don't post in the forums. However, I just had to say that the Legacy campaign is epic.

P.S. I think by 2.0 beta they mean either the distribution in Sept.-Oct.
