Wuk Lamat's Poor EN Voice Acting

I've been paying for almost 14 years and I thought she was fine. I don't think length of time as a paying customer matters when it comes to how feedback should be received lol.


Also, I can say that most of the "feedback" in the previous two threads was not genuine.


I'd like to point out that we've learned that Erenville grew up with her, and yet I haven't seen a single person complain about them having an Icelandic? accent while being from the new world. Not one person.

babying her and protecting her isnt being lgbt+ friendly, its pathetic savior complex.
just treat her like a normal person ffs, a proffesional, that can take feedback.
her fake accent was trash, and the direction and emotion was awful.
so was galool ja ja's. and wuk evu's and most of the side characters.

stop with the fake accents. if you want accents hire people with those accents like they did with radz-at-han in endwalker. they all sounded great

Frankly, I've been playing with Japanese VA ever since I got the game and ocasionally hear streamers using EN VA, and man most of Tural's people just don't match. All the respect for the actors but choices were kinda egregious this time to the point of feeling like it was phoned in

The statement in bold should say it all, it shouldn't matter who or what the person is being professional means that you are able to take criticism and improve

I've been pretty active in these threads since before the launch, when we first got a taste of what was to come. No one accused anyone of being transphobic unless that poster had already for whatever reason thought it was worth bringing it into the conversation by mentioning this completely irrelevant topic. Folks were literally stalking her, curating and posting tweets YEARS DEEP from her feed. Name another VA that has EVER gotten that treatment here, regardless of how mediocre his or her performance was? It borders on obsession. It's sickening.

No, there's definitely something different about the way many folks have 'discussed' this particular VA, and the ones that argued in good faith were correctly engaged with in kind. It's very disingenuous to suggest that every single person who had a critical thing to say (of which I was certainly one) was immediately dismissed as phobic.

There is no way anyone with a sane mind would make a poorly performing VA the main-charakter of the expansion.

Tbh not just Wuk, I feel the overall quality of voice acting went down to the levels of a budget English anime dub this expansion
