    All I think of is "where is the line stop?". Like, at 5 minutes what if someone pops in the instance hoping for the S rank and asking you to hold for 30 more seconds, are we going to advocate for 5 minutes and 30 seconds after a time to include them as well? Plus, once you have people know they can wait for 5 more minutes on a S Rank that is due to spawn, you will have even more last minute people joining that train and fights will happen just like they are now for "early pullers". I think that when it would first be implemented, we wouldn't see that but after a time, this would pop up and we would be back in this boat.

    Idk, its why I think having information more readily available would be the better fix because then you could preplan better for those world jumps....again in my opinion haha.

    you understand that this is expansion week right? and that its not always gonna be this busy? it wasnt designed for an entire data center to come murder it.

    Maybe instead of invulnerability there could be a zone wide message 5 minutes before it spawns. "The storm clouds gather..." Something simple like that. Instead of the spawn being triggered, this message would be triggered, and it would mean that the S rank spawns in 5 minutes.

    No, it usually depends on World/Data Center culture. In Primal we usually actually wait 5 minutes as a courtesy to fellow players, but it only takes one troll or player that doesn't know hunting etiquette and it's all over (with a lot of people shouting asking everyone to do slow DPS). It's particularly bad right now since we get an influx of players that are not normally part of the community. And mind you, early pullers are usually not the spawners themselves.

    The problem with the world changing feature is that since everyone jumps in to try to get to the mark at the same time.. You basically get this situation:

    Haha, completely fair! Though I will admit my brain goes to "how can we enable people that want that extra time more" instead of "how to stall for time" kinda thought process but I think we both are wanting more people to be able to have access to it in the end. I think no matter what, having something there to help people whether it is a invul timer/information book/(from Nitelancer...love the idea)have a world message that pops up would be amazing.

    As far as the congestion, I am sure that is a nightmare to deal with @.@ It's why I haven't started hunts in Dawntrail......yet >.>

    Please understand that Hunts were introduced in 2.3 in a world that didn't have cross realm travel, instanced zones and data center travel. They were not even conceived of being shared among the playerbase, and the way things have shaken out took a good deal of coordination (and patience) on the playerbases' part. It had little to do with the developers.

    In fact, they basically have not updated the system since it's inception; very early on they made B ranks always respawn in 5 seconds and only reward a player with the weekly bill for them, and then they introduced SS ranks at some point, but other than that they're unchanged down to the very spawn methods, locations and timers, which players have always had to figure out.

    Other changes outside of hunts themselves, the freedom of data center travel, communication with linkshells and very organized discords and bots, multiple instances all (and a much, much larger available playerbase than at hunt's introduction) able to spawn the same valuable hunt mobs, aren't really part of the system as devised. They only exacerbate the issue because a player normally able to hit everything when the game is in a lull period suddenly is struggling to even get to the zone in time.

    I don't say this to suggest that they can't or shouldn't change (and depending on your perspective, improve) the system, just to temper your expectations and understand that what we're perceiving as a problem is almost entirely emergent gameplay based on what they players have chosen to do, and as a result, possibly not a problem at all in the developer's mind.

    yeah it's only going to get worse as players ilvl gets even higher and higher, it will require even less ppl to do the same thing. Yet here we are when players are supposedly the weakest they'll be in this expansion, merc'ing new S Ranks in less than a minute.

    I said it once and I'll keep on saying: Remove the ability for other worlds to get credit for killing hunt marks then reduce the achievement requirements or reduce the respawn timers. These are supposed to be dangerous enemies, not something that just gets decimated by 600+ people in a matter of seconds. They might as well not even have mechanics because you never see them.
