Wuk is not liked by JP side anymore than our side. I've seen JP say much more vile things about Wuk than anyone has said on these forums/reddit/twitter.

The Wuk dislike is literally just because of her character, not her VA.



Literally who has said this. EVERYONE is saying it's fine to take a step back to not being front and center, but functionally WoL has been erased from the game. Other characters (Erenville/Krile) who were also supposed to be mainlining this expansion were sidelined. Everyone became extras in "Wuk's Grand Adventure".
If the WoL was removed from the story, nothing would change and that's a bad thing no matter which way you spin it. We had less impact on the story than Mablu.

The third trial actually made me really excited for a moment. She basically just tells everyone else (including warrior princess garfield) "shut up, and go away. I'm fighting this one now. He's the main character."
Then who else would show up to ruin it? The mere idea of not being the center of attention gave Lamat the ability to warp reality itself.
but, you know, Endwalker had a moment in the final trial where we get help from friends for the final push, so if we rip that off one to one, it'll be just as good. Right?

Its just comes down to shes forced on us, They expect us to like her, which makes them bad writers. It hasnt even crossed their minds we wont like her and the irony on top of that being, they've made a lot of people who would have liked her or had no opinion also dislike her because of how much she wont go away.

I liked her at the beginning but honestly started to get annoyed with her around the time we get to Solution Nine.

Wuk Lamat feels like someone who you hit it off with when you first meet them, but then they just WON'T LEAVE YOU ALONE and it really sours the friendship as a result.

I like people with golden retriever energy, hell, a lot of my favorite anime characters have golden retriever energy, but just please leave me alone and stop breaking my immersion, I'm trying to play through MSQ as the Warrior of Light, not Wuk Lamat's Hired Muscle.

God, the best thing about finishing MSQ is that I won't have to see Wuk Lamat for at least a decent while, I hope she gets stuck being busy as Hokage Wizard Pirate King so I can at least properly play as the WoL in the next story patch.
