The despawn thing I feel like has already been improved considerably. Even though it's not instant, it only takes a few seconds, and the enemies "fleeing" the area is kind of a neat effect. If we're truly that impatient over like 4-5 seconds of downtime, I think we have other things to focus on.
Time is valuable. 5 seconds throughout 100 FATEs is roughly 8mins. Now apply that 8min wait across 6 shared fate zones and it's much higher. This doesn't happen every FATE so it is a bit exaggerated. However, my point was that while a few seconds seems like no big deal, it is if you look at it from a different perspective. Those 5 seconds can also be the difference between you making it in time to get last-minute credit in your party.
