Maybe one tiny change to Viper?

First off, i'm loving the job and I stand with the people who don't want to see the job change. But while we're on the subject, I thought I'd ask for something I've found myself wanting.

I love the vipersight gauge! It's a great indicator that works really well for keeping me from needing to look at my hotbar constantly. The only change I think would help, would be adding a positional indicator to the vipersight gauge.

Right now it glows red for part 2 of the combo and blue for part 3 of the combo. What if it glowed blue for part 2 of the combo, glowed green for flank part 3, and glowed red for rear part 3?

I think this would be a nice change that would further the intent of the vipersight gauge.

It may even kill two birds with one stone. Satisfying players who want to keep the job the same as is, while also making the players who struggle with the jobs positionals able to find it more intuitive to follow. Thank you.

Edit: I've learned that gauge can in fact be used for purposes I was seeking. Which is all I wanted. Thank you to those who commented and helped me to understand this.

Not needed. The directional is dictated by the 2nd GCD step. leFt side = Flank. Right side = Rear

Negative. The left side sword on the vipersight gauge indicates the Steel Fangs combo and the right side sword of the vipersight gauge indicates the Dread fangs combo. Both steel fangs and dread fangs can become a flank or rear positional. Adding an positional indicator to the vidersight gauge would be the final thing needed to make it perfect.

Correct. I just think that would be cool if that was displayed on the vipersight gauge.

Remove the vipersight gauge. It's completely worthless to anyone with even a rudimentary understanding of how weaponskill combos work. It's just extra clutter that we shouldn't be forced to have on our screens. I hate that I'm forced to have it constantly visible just so I can see my Rattling Coil charges.

The real change we need is to put the accumulated charges for rattling coil on the button itself.

You're very confidently incorrect. Please go in game and try actually pressing the buttons. 2nd step, left red => 3rd step flank, 2nd step, right red => 3rd step rear.

You know you can turn off the gauges in the HUD menu right? Just click the gear icon and then deselect "Display element"

The Red or Blue glow is pretty much useless right now. Changing the final color based on the positional would make the gauge have somewhat of a use.
