How would we meld Bane into Deployment Tactics?

I keep seeing this idea and, while it would be nice to see Deploy get more uses outside of spreadlo, it just feels like a balancing nightmare unless you want to deploy your dots every 90 seconds. Part of me wonders if Ruin II should get an additional effect where it spreads the dots (at full potency to compensate for the GCD slot). It would help curb button bloat and give Ruin a two-in-one purpose.

I'll give healer a try up until level 100. If I do not like it, I'm off the role, entirely.

Easiest way IMHO is to just add back Bane as one of AF spender - couple that with the capability to spread Chain's effect as well. There you go: trade offs.

1.) Add Bane as AF spender like above (making AF offensive)
2.) Rework Faerie gauge to be the new gauge for healing AF
    3.) Don't touch Deployment Tactics

I'm all for making Bane an AF spender, but it defeats the purpose of AF by making it solely offensive. Part of SCH's skill ceiling is deciding how to utilize your AF depending on the situation. Bane would help add to that high risk/reward factor and also act as a pseudo AoE damage AF ability.

I feel like it should just be an alternative function of Biolysis of Emergency Tactics. Press Emergency Tactics, changes Biolysis to Unstable Biolysis and applies in an AoE. The main reason for Bane is:

    -Dungeon convenience.
    -Field grinding convenience.

Against bosses, Bane is generally a non-factor, like Energy Siphon is just generally a button not pressed in Extreme/Savage/Unreal/Ultimate.

Making Deployment Tactics function as Bane, just like in PvP, is that Deployment Tactics is 90 sec, whereas the PvP version is much shorter.

Well it also helps during add phases in trials/raids. I think most Scholars would be fine if there were a few fights where Bane never got touched as long as the option is there. After all, it's not like the other roles are using their AOE rotations for single target encounters.

Easiest way is to just have Energy Drain upgrade to Bane. This solves both the issue of DOT spreading, and also the fact that ED is a single target action and feels kinda bleh to use in AOE situations. I hate that Deployment in PVP spreads Biolysis, not due to the spreading, but because it's poisoned (ha) everyone's minds into thinking that Deploy/Bane effects should be somehow linked to one another, instead of a different action that makes far more sense

Honestly, this is a really good idea. Whether you're in aoe or single target, you're only hitting one or the other but almost never both unless you're finishing off a target or two in an aoe pull/add phase. Effectively combining the two would also mean that we wouldn't have to prune as many buttons to compensate; Fey Blessing would be the only thing getting the axe to make room for Miasma. With this change and Baneful Impaction being on a separate 60 second CD, the job would finally feel almost complete but not overwhelming.
