Please don't change Viper

All I want with viper is to be able to separately assign all the skills from level 1 to 60 to the hot bar to be able to learn what each skill does and how it flows into the next. The new ability to choose whether or not to upgrade a skill on your hot bar or not is made for just this sort of thing. It takes nothing away from the class to allow for this.

literally every single other class in the game lets you do this. we dont need another 1. we already have them. this works great

so far I had a lot of fun playing Viper but seeing the new upcoming changes scares me this job isn't difficulty but it makes up for it with how fast it is also having a good amount of positionals and having a really fun amount of ogcds so pls don't change this job it was so awesome to play it through DT

Haven't really dipped into Viper yet as I've been spending time on my main jobs but this still seems like a massive knee jerk reaction. The job has literally only been out for less than a week at this point There's no reason to make any substantial changes to it (yet). Just let people actually get used to the way it plays and, if they don't like it, they can play something more to their style or tastes.

They take one of the easiest classes with so few keybindings and are going to nerf it further because you all cannot even handle that.

I have like 20 keybindings on viper. The class is easy and intuitive as it is.

I fully understand the context of this thread, I am just not surprised that they are nerfing based on player whining. The "you all" was in a broad sense, meaning the FFXIV community at large, and not specifically referring to this thread, because lets face it, there have been many other instances where people complained about difficulty and that is how we got to where we are at with some of these dumbed down classes.

Please don't touch Viper for the sake of job identity you SE has mentioned. Don't ruin one of the last class we melee dps can play and have fun. Don't make viper another SAM MNK SMN etc.
Just bought Dawntrail because of Viper. Come on SE. Don't make me cancel the sub please. Viper the way it is is the only reason I still play this game gosh.
