The original Show Your Miqo'te thread had to be locked because it reached 12,734 posts. For me (who has it set up to show 40 posts per page), that's 319 pages, compared to this thread's 157 pages. °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

it is just as telegraphed. ALL damage is telegraphed. IMO 5x small hits that does the same amount as 1x big hits is no different. you're still not engaging with your kit any more with 1 type than the other.I consider pulsing damage not as telegraphed as opposed to a stack up yes. I was a bit surprised to see during the final trial damage ticking down without the boss doing a harrowing hell like animation. I don't really have a strong opinion on this so I'm not really debating lol. I just liked the pulsing damage and the small heal check on the expert dungeon even though they're easy to deal with. The extent of my opinion goes "Oh that's neat, hope that happens more often and becomes more relevant/harder to deal with."
So much for your strike, I am getting in dungeons with healers quickly, it is always the tank we are waiting on. In fact our duty finder was all "Adventurer in Need: Tank" except 1.
Seems like the tanks are doing a better job of striking, albeit unintentionally.

I have to wonder what the average quality of healer is these days
That's good, we don't actually want to hurt anyone's play time, we just want to gain attention to the criticisms we have.
I understand that criticizing your perfect game is a cardinal sin that can never be forgiven... But we feel this is that important to us to improve the game.
When this is all over, I hope we can make amends by performing seppuku after doing 50 hail yoshi-p's to an effigy of emet-selch, and buying all the cash shop items.

The worst part is that this would be so easy to fix with stricter ilvl sync. That's literally it.

I'm in the same boat. I really, really hope people are right. But I'm not holding my breath. Right now, things are super fun but that's because everyone is running around in garbage MSQ gear. We'll see how everything pans out when we outgear those fights. If healing checks and unavoidable damage are actually as high and common as they seem to be, are not invalidated by gear and people learning mechanics, and continue to be added in future patches I will be largely satisfied.
My issue with healers has been that damage isn’t high enough to justify our kits and our DPS kits aren’t fun enough to justify low healing requirements. So long as the devs address one of this issues I’ll be satisfied. It seems. SEEMS. Like they may have addressed the former. If so, bravo.
That said, we are in the first week of the expac so…

Yeah.
Like each of the expert dungeons I personaly already had groups finish at least one boss after the healer bit it in normal ex roulettes. And those Dungeons sync to allow another 10 iLvL on top of what I had on Gnb at least.
You're talking to the wrong person about fanboying, I am not some weeb, "Square and Yoshi only do right" person, like most of this forum is. I just think the healer strike is hilarious, especially because square probably doesn't even remember this forum exists. That's good, we don't actually want to hurt anyone's play time, we just want to gain attention to the criticisms we have.

Hates Lalas.

Just a small reminder that there are only 4 battle system designers (aka job designers) as of the release of dawntrail. We have 21 jobs and no job designer for healer.
I love the men in this game
I finally return to the game! Current goal: getting all my jobs to 90
