until I see any actual impact on queues or party finder due to lack of healers, the "strike" does not exist
Less than a hundred people at most, and that is not even 0.1% of the game's population.
Literally everyone who switched off healer because they're bored of it is "striking". That's a lot more than 100. The "strike" isn't a real strike. It's just people changing jobs to classes they enjoy more than the boring healers. I don't know what's so hard to understand about that.
I was a Sage main in Endwalker. Playing Sage outside of savage prog is boring. Playing Sage in savage prog is still mildly boring. I switched to Bard for Dawntrail because its more fun. I will not be playing healers unless there are major changes because I don't find it fun.
Technically, I'm "striking", but really I'm just playing jobs that don't bore me until healers are made more interesting.

Lets be honest Miss Goro.
We both don't know how many participate or not.
In what form ever. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
You only get a Doom debuff if you get hit by the butterflies. It's not really an unavoidable 'esuna check' akin to something like Exdeath's opening moves in Deltascape V.4, so from a mechanics perspective, a healer isn't mandatory to clear the fight. The same applies to the earlier boss that gives you Necrosis if you fail to dodge the gas clouds.
This is very true, healers have been asking constantly for anything to tackle the downtime, and Yoship-P's response to those questions birthed the "Just do Ultimate" thread.
Well, according to the thread creator their strike officially starts today, so perhaps you can share your findings over the next few days in regards to queue times.
Though to be honest, I just imagine for regular content it will be slower on DPS timers since that's the only role that was added this expansion and people want to try them out.
In any case, I won't be surprised if there is another healer drought in PF going into savage just like in Abyssos.

yes so basically the only way a healer isnt needed is if ur a bunch of premades with high skill level. i mean. this has been the case since even arr.You only get a Doom debuff if you get hit by the butterflies. In any case, I won't

In other critique about the strike, people claim dungeons don't matter at all, since they are so easy they aren't "real content". And now, making sure you avoid a few easily avoidable instant death mechanic is high skill level?
And no that isn't the only way healers aren't needed. A significant part of the complains about healers, is that very often healers end up in PUG's where they aren't a useful part of the team. They are just there because the queue required it.

honestly. i have the 2k mentor pony. and in my experience. 9/10 times that dungeon causes massive issues. i cannot count how many times i got sucked in becuse a healer left who couldnt cope with the mecanics. or the amount of people deing to them. so realllllllllllly dont agree hereIn other critique about the strike, people claim dungeons don't matter at all, since they are so easy they aren't "real content". As a mentor you could have explained they should look at the target circle under the butterflies, and then don't stand in front of them. The only time I saw people messing that up is when they very obviously didn't notice the small target circles.honestly. i have the 2k mentor pony. and in my experience. 9/10 times that dungeon causes massive issues. i cannot count how many times i got sucked in becuse a healer left who couldnt cope with the mecanics. or the amount of people deing to them. so realllllllllllly dont agree here
And also, focussing on these very rare bossfights where a few players die to a mechanics that esuna could have saved them from, just proves the point of the healer strike. Healers shouldn't have to queue up for DF and hope to get one of the few dungeons where they could be useful if they get people who weren't explained how to avoid one instant death mechanic. Healers should be a equally important part of a team in any group content.
