My eyes are usually pretty sensitive when it comes to eye strain from games with bad graphical settings, I didn't really feel anything extra strain wise from my session playing the past few hours, however i also was up/down a bit sorting out food and chilling with pets so wasn't entirely playing the whole ~4hrs or so.

So it might be a setting of some kind you've got on? Usually good to check the usual suspects that cause the headache inducing strain to better tailor your experience to not be a painful one.

Remember to turn on night-light or something to turn down the blue-light on your monitors.

If your eyes burn after prolonged screen usage the blue-light is often to blame.

This. One causes light/shadow stuttering and the other one makes everything blurry for me, I want to turn them off completely.

I noticed SOME Eyestrain in the beginning but i have that every time i play a new Game or a Game with different Graphics.

FFXIV got some notable changes that completely change how one perceives their surroundings and at least for me it takes a few hours to get used to the new Graphics.

After that i usually do not notice any more eyestrain than before. Give your eyes a few days to get used to the new graphics.

I don't have any problems and I'm normaly motion sick.

That said if there is something that causes problems for some people (and I believe thatgiven all those replies) then they shoul look into it better sooner then later.

Now that I think about it a bit. Before i changed the graphic settings to maximum the game seemed a bit blury. Could that be it? Not saying changing the setting should be the solution but could that be the cause?

As I said in the original post, no amount of fiddling with the graphics settings has helped alleviate the problem. This statement also applies to the TV settings.

That's what was so confusing to me, I play with full lights on and my glasses have a blue light filter that normally helps a lot with this sort of eye strain.

Oh... So the modern version of AA is forced enabled?!?

Always turn that off, yeah things might look more pixelated, but it strains the eyes less.

While this is true it is not what I am talking about. You (the player) have to make the slider for 3D Resolution Scaling move, none of the presets in the game currently make it go lower than 100 which is native res. So while we are both "right" I'm more right than you on this one. The only way you would see FSR or DLSS activate in the game is if you move the slider or simply check Enable dynamic resolution to help you keep a constant frame rate of whatever you set it to.

If anyone is having issues with blur turn off AA completely and make sure you are running at native through those two above settings being configured correctly. If you are still having issues with your eyes it isn't because of the game it is clearly a skill issue.

Ah yeah, it was on. Let's try without it...
