PSA: Twitch Streamers who will avoid MSQ Spoilers

So, some obvious troll post aside, there may be concern for people who want to get the Twitch reward, but not want to see the MSQ or other spoilers.

…usually what Twitch players do is mention the expansion in the first three words because the search will truncate the rest.

Regular FFXIV Twitch players will indicate what expansion pack they are on in the title. This isn't necessary. They do that exactly for spoiler reasons.

Youtubers on the other hand have a tendency not to do this because makes it hard to change information. So Youtube streamers just edit the description of the last video and keep using the same live key (only "upcoming" streams use a new key/thumbnail/description.) It is however, plain insane how many extra hoops Youtube makes you do to stream that you don't on Twitch.

Youtube is slowly eating Twitch's lunch on streaming, but they have miles to go before youtube will ever be the go-to for streaming.

Also the drops don't start until after the full release on tuesday, so don't accidentally watch any streamers during early access.

just bring them up on your phone ( or if your on ps/xbox bring it up on your computer and mute ur volume and allow it to auto play u dont even have to look at it just move your mouse every 2mins or so and just let it auto play without paying attention to it.

This thread is more in response to people freaking out (trolling if we're being real) that they're gonna get spoiled when it's painfully obvious they won't if they just took the 30 sec to do research. Again, I'm a bonehead about Twitch and it was easy to figure out.

Yeah usually what Twitch players do is mention the expansion in the first three words because the search will truncate the rest. Youtube is worse since it will usually just show the first 6 words on two lines, and many YT's do this annoying clickbait of "OBVIOUS QUESTION?" rather than the game name, and youtube search will show you 500 other unrelated videos and ads before it will show you a stream that matches a search.

Just be aware if you mute the stream it will (may?) halt progression. I mean, you can still have it going at a small volume in another room maybe.

As long as the stream is not muted, it will count. Make sure it's what is focused (desktop users can't simply switch to another tab, it has to be another window, as the "memory saver" feature will unload tabs not in focus after a few seconds.)

I only have 1 browser window open and I pretty much always do something else while the muted tab plays by itself with all the other tabs.
Never had any problems this way.

What is with the obsession of watching someone else play a game, drops or not?

I will never get how people waste hours watching someone else play a game when they can just play it themselves.
