how soon before internet and sever latency is measured in micro (and one day even nano) seconds
There are already brokerage and trading houses that have in house messaging latency down to nanoseconds and inter-host messaging in microseconds... It's coming, I tell ya
Yeah before FFXIV 2.0 alot of suggestions will get diverted to "due to the server systems this is not possible til 2.0" but after that we can all brainstorm to make sure they stay busy![]()

Hmmm to make FFXIV better there is 1 point ... Gamers playing this game need to get on their headz this is not FFXI, not WoW, is really annoying the amount of people asking this to dont be a FFXI-II game while at same time these same gamers are tryin to play this game as they used to play FFXI, and even going so far as to try get ideas takewn from XI copy/paste style to XIV. is ridiculous seriously.
SE makin a game where you have to play diferent roles for diferent porpouses yet people want to play a certain job for all kind of porpouses, thats just wrong... stop complaining about your job cant do this or that and watch what it can do and use it for it, level other job for those other things you want to do.
Something i want is this game to dont be so lineal, to dont be done just as others have done it before, i want a game where you go on a raid and you dont have to do it exactly the same way one time and another and another. But Sadly this will never happens as there be always gamers who did things first and want everyone else to do it the exact same way 1 time and another and another and again and again until you get tired of it and wish to quit the game cause other "veteran" gamers tell you how you have to play your job while at same time these same "veteran" gamers have their mind closed to diferent ways to do things.
I Want a game where in a party we need to have diferent roles to play their functions but at same time dont be dependable of 1 or 2 jobs such as a Tank or a Healer to succesfully win, a game where you coould go with all DDs and if they play their job right they be able to get ahead without tank or healer, i could see it possible, but well there will be always people tellin yah "NOOOOOOO, other morpgs you have to do this and that, so we have to do the same way here too".
My point: Doesnt matters how many changes SE do to this game, the main problem is they cant tell their gamers how to play a game. if SE decides to make an awasome original game with mechanics never ever seen before, their main issue will be still the same, convince their gamers to stop tryin to play this game just as other gamers similar to it, but SE cant tell their gamers how to play their game without burn in the flames of "too straight side lineal game!"
No one cant make a game out of the standards of their time without get hard critics of "i dont understand it" and finally get droped to trash to just watch few years after another game using same dynamics get all the attention.
Sooooooo.... in conclusion o me, SE need put more attention to the gamers base besides just change their game.
As side note, once 2.0 be released i will miss the way FFXIV had so many drastical changes in so short period of time , never beign the same after a couple months, always in change, makin their gamerz to get used to new dynamics, yes game started really bad, but it has been evolving , i kinda enjoyed beign part of the changes, so lil sad to think once 2.0 be here we wont get to see such dramatical changes on UI and such that had us gamers at expectation of every update.

I'd like to see a recreation of tier system for spawning NMs. Whether it's a similar format of FFXI's Sky/Sea, or something new like certain NMs across the whole world can drop pop items for newer and stronger bosses. We need something to create competition between other players or linkshell against linkshell.
Cool I'll set up my PC in SE's basement ^^
Endgame rewards that are based on effort and not luck.
Well, I fought Ifrit for the first time last night. 8 members 4 dead at the end. Raises all down by the whm's alive.... takes 5 minutes to recast. Then waited the time to get everyone up and... boom!! everyone is pissed because only allowed 3 mins to check the chest and get the reward (also took Lamp). I think big boss battles should be a option to pick your reward at the NPC. Not a chest gathering with a possable chance to get something.... and for Raise... 5 MINUTES!!!! that needs to be lowered or Allow more time to meet that 5 minute Raise timer or auto raise when you win. Also maybe add new spells... Raise II and Reraise.
