LS battles over certain camps/villages that gave your LS only certain bonuses no it would not lock other players out of the camp. The battles over camps/villages could happen every week or something which would be cool.

I feel like the leves could be greatly expanded to offer better variety. Having to craft the same 5 recipes from 40 -> 50 is completely annoying. Along with grinding DoH, DoL & DoW/DoM all have the exact same problem... The same damn missions over and over. 15~20 randomized missions would be a lot nicer so you wouldn't be repeating the same missions every day. (I always have 80+ leve allowances but the same thing every day is just irritating)
I would also say, they need to update the leves as well (which they are doing) to get rid of the dated items.
Ifrit/Moogle could have more consistent drops and CC/AV could have more incentive.
Any way you slice it, the improvements are coming but not as soon as we want/demand and not exactly how we envision them.

What would make FF14 better?
Yoshi and the Dev team listening to logical and common sense recommendations. That's it.
Need the perfect example? Content and content loot systems. They think their way is good enough, only to give us the Need or Greed in 2.0. Awful reasoning, awful excuse, awful content, and awful system. Yoshi taking a page out of Tanaka's book. GG.

I'd like to see some more solo content, and loads of content for smaller 2-4 man parties. 8 is a bit past the point of a group of a couple of friends and starts to verge into large group dynamics, which is fine but I'd like the option. I generally have more fun with 1-3 friends than I do with a huge group because it's easy for everyone to speak their mind. When the group gets too big, people have to start shutting up for communication to stay organized, and it feels less like a fun social event in my opinion.
I'd also like to see some large scale PVE stuff that you can hop in solo to join a big fight ala campaign, but it looks like that's coming with hamlet defense, so I can't wait for that. Other than that, a lot of what I want has already been announced for 2.0, so it's a wait and see game.

Some content for small party (2-4 people) with decent rewards from it to keep the interest. Apart from exp grind there's nothing to do if you want to have fun with a friend or 2 without having to form Full Party and do raids/primals. In my opinion small party content is important to make close bonds with people.
Those bonds might save this game if it continues to provide small content updates as it was till now. Having close friends in game and constantly having something to duo or trio with your best friends can keep a player online way longer even if there's not enough content - friendship can keep a player interested. As it is now, however, forming Full Party often results in having random people in your party that you don't know at all and don't have as much fun with, while its forces you to get to know other people it wont be as bonding as duo content would be for example.
Simple solutions starting from least complicated one:
1. Increase rewards from monsters/NMs that are not soloable or are very hard to solo. Don't even have to make new content - just use the higher level monsters, give him some nice drop rate of useful material/gear (that can be traded for seals) etc. so a person would have a hard time soloing and he will be forced to look for a friendHave to be wise on deciding on the reward though to keep this interesting and fun and last longer (might want to keep untradable rewards to avoid RMT camping)
2. Creating NM's that are hard to solo, but cannot be spawned if you have too many people in party (3-4 people limit)
3. Using above mentioned NM spawn system in a small, repeatable quest line that after beating all the NM's would reward with usable, untradable items, something that everybody needs and would gladly invest time for it, some unique potions that are not obtainable other way that give big boost in battle or even Anima Potion i bet that would get looooots of people interested!Something that would be worth coming back and repeat the quest line again with your best friend when there's not enough people for full party.
4. Instances even if small and take only 15 minutes to complete with your friend. Doesn't have to be nothing fancyGive few nice rewards, maybe consumables that are worth coming back for and let the friendship continue~
Long story short - lots of people come to have fun with friends in game, not just grind solo or recruit for hours a full party - have to give them something to do if there are only few good friends online!
Thumbs up if you think these thoughts should be shared in separate thread and ill look into making one, or you can do that if you please ;D

I'd like to see a ninja, samurai, dark knight, and maybe a 2h sword wielding class.
some way to replenish anima or pay for teleports with gil, such as 5k gil per 1 anima that it would of cost.
your path companion being summon-able as a battle partner for a few mins like in xi.
and a fix for my glitch where i sometimes cant see monsters unless i run far enough away or log out and back in.

Things that would make my day...
Crafting:
1) Ability to completely customize equipment - Want a longer sleeve, no problem. Want a collar that makes you look Victorian, no problem. Want my armor in shades of rainbow, no problem.
-> Perhaps, bring back the equipment parts but allow their use like dyes for customization.
2) Faster crafting - Coming in 1.22 yay.
Gathering:
1) Shining dots are boring, boring...VERY boring. I want to see fish in the water, ore in the rocks, trees that look their species. If I want ash lumber, I'll go find an ash tree. If I want ore, I'll head into the mines. I want to be able to gather from every nook and cranny, I want to gather from the deepest hole in the ground to the loftiest peak in Eorzea!
-> Aion had shining dots but at least the plants look like their icons.
-> Skyrim...gotta love catching those butterflies...
Battle:
1) Weapons enchantment...
2) Skill combo between party members...
3) Alliance combat...
4) 3D combat...why are we still limited to the 2D ground when everything else is 3D?
-> Avatar Movie..."Attack from above because as the king of sky, it never looks up."
5) Specific body part targeting...not just WS and pray for body part damage
6) Dynamic weak spots on large size mobs. Pried off a scale? Lopped off a horn? Tore off a wing membrane? Add in regeneration to the fray. Burn open wounds to stop regen!
Drops:
1) No more random. A sheep should always have mutton on it, no matter how you mutilate it with an axe or zap it with thunder.
2) Why do we need to kill every mob for stuff? You mean I can't bring a pair of shears and get the fleece off a sheep while it is sleeping?
World:
1) Why do birds hug the ground for you to chop with an axe?
2) Why are wolves friends with the sheep?
3) Why do mobs stay 24/7 in the same place?
4) Why don't NPCs have their own lives?
Story & Quests:
1) Where is the epic FF story?...enough said. Getting better I know but still lacks a certain oompf to it.
2) Where are the endearing characters? Star Onion Brigade? I can remember so many of the characters of FFXI but hardly any from FFXIV.
Graphics:
1) DX11+ support
2) Where are my projectiles?

I would love to see some kind of skill tree system similar to WoW,SWTOR, EQ2, or even Borderlands.
Something about having the option to decide what kind of unique abilities/traits I want and being able to have a little control over the recast timers my class/job has and how my character grows really means a lot to me.
More unique classes/jobs.
Summoner
Necromancer
GunBlade user! such a cool weapon that screams Final Fantasy but does not show up in their MMOs![]()
Just thought of another, the ability to buy and sell multiple items at once instead of selling each item a stack at a time or buying 1 item at a time. so like a smaller box that opens along with the buy/sell menu that lists what you have decided you want to buy or sell, and allows you click a buy/sell all button.
